Musically it's great, but I must say that some of the lyrics irk me a bit - in particular the evolution slagging. How anyone can not believe in evolution with the amount of evidence that is out there is beyond me.

I'm also not a fan of his slagging of democracy. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's the best political system humans have managed so far.

But hey, I've come to accept that as much as I respect him and his religion, there are some times when I just have to grit my teeth and listen to the next line. It's no biggie. Still a great track otherwise.

Sound is good but lyrics are just awful...just awful. It's a list of confused statements made to look 'deep' but when you actually read them..don't actually mean a thing. The day he dumps that JW shit will be a day for us all to rejoice.

True. He wrapped politics/social/religion all in that song. Love the title, "Colonized Mind" It grabs one's attention right away. When he does the guitar solo in it, you get that blues/rock feel and feel the lyrics too, the kind that touches the soul. I got a tiny bit of a "gospel" feel out of it too, but that's just me, what can I say?. smile I like when I could feel the song with the lyrics where it touches your soul.

Yes. Very, very deep. The title and lyrics involve a lengthly, vastly studied history. College professors are going to EAT.THIS.UP.

Oh please. Where? At the University Of Naive Worldviews? These lyrics are about as deep and intelligent as a city puddle.
No hard feelings.

Brilliant song that I've heard prob over 20 times since yesterday.... LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

Very inspired.... the new stuff, along w/his covers of Watchtower/Best of U r the most inspired stuff he's done since TGE.... LOVE the passion on it.

Kinda reminds me of "The War" as well....
I Love U, But I Don't Trust U Anymore...

I'm with U. I really dig this track, and I hope it's released in a quality format... like vinyl. I'll take CD, if no vinyl available.

luv this tune. can c the family with planet earth, lion of judah vibe.
my thought for now, as reflected off what i could pick off the lyrics,
is that Prince will always say what he wants to say through his music,
no matter what.

As much as I think the lyrics are horrible and the album probably will continue along those lines, its cool to see you JWs get excited over music, especially when its taboo at times to get into it.

Prince should be credited for bringing y'all into the musical sphere, but remember one day Prince might revert to his old self and make some great music with some very questionable content. Are you going to turn on him then? You'd best not.

Wow great song - Simplicity is beautiful - Bass, Drum, Guitar, Vocals - No overproduction and just enough happening in the music to make it interesting but not over done.

Yeah, this needs to be in a quality format.

I don't mind that I do not agree with all the lyrics. I think it's one way to look at things but I sense it's a somewhat negative way to look at the world - in some places.

Colonized Mind

Upload
The evolution principle
U see a rock on the shore - And say, "It's always been there"

Download
No responsibility
Do what U want - Nobody cares

Upload
The master race idea
Genetically disposed - 2 rule the world

Download
Future full of isolated
Full of isolated - Boys and girls

Upload
The 2 party system
The lesser of 2 dangers - Illusion of choice

Download
Their form of fascism
Nothing really ever changes - U never had a voice

If U look, U're sure gonna find
Throughout mankind's history
A Colonized Mind

The one in power makes law
Under which the colonized fall
Without God, it's just the blind leading the blind

Upload
A joint venture record deal
It's just another way another man can still sleep
While he's sticking U with the bill

Download
A temporary acquisition of fleeting fame and fortune
Nothing to leave in your will

Upload
A child with no father
Download
No respect for authority

Upload
A child with no mother
Download
A hard time showing love

If U look, U're sure gonna find
Throughout mankind's history
A Colonized Mind

The one in power makes law
Under which the colonized fall
Without God, it's just the blind leading the blind

Yes, it's called "Tiktaalik" and can be found in several museums. It's a fish that led to the evolution of amphibians.

Try reading something more than creationist litereature, ok?

The upload/download is a great concept though if it went like this:

Upload
War on Iraq
Liberate, etc

Download
Corruption
Oil, etc
