Hes bored probably just needs new inspiration and surround himself with world class musicians that can just groove with him and be spontaneous wich is hard to find especially for someone as passionate and as high level as him

As far as I'm concerned he hasn't been interested in new music in over 15 years - based on the quality of that new music. Pales compared to his 80-88 material.
