it may be the vodka talkin'(and I know its not because I've always known Prince is the man), but I just had to post. Imago's review of Emancipation and the reactions to it got me to thinkin' about how much Prince's music has defined my life. I think I am honestly a better person and more open minded and have a better musical pallete because of Prince. He is so cool. I mean, he may not be Top 40 anymore, but who on the radio now will be in 20 years? Think about it...the last time Prince was feirce competition in the top 40 was probably about '91 or '92. But everyone agrees, he is still a effin legend and is still crankin' out awesome S. I mean, the only reason Prince is not on the radio, is because he got tired of the fake crap and who's in it for who crap and decided to make music without conditions, aka, making other people money and being a victim of being part of the system. When he broke free and started doing his own S., I was so proud of him. When I went to the Celebrations I thought, "Man, Prince is so rogue. He is a warrior." I'll never forget being at the first Celebration, and we were all dancing in the Love 4 One Another room and Prince came out and started DJ'ing and I heard him spin "Why should I do that, when I can do This" for the first time. I thought..."Oh My God..., this is the coolest moment in my life. Prince is a total Bad A.

Speaking currently, People dog on Planet Earth, but I think they should listen again...especially for gems like "All the Midnights in the World" and "Lion of Judah" and "Somewhere Here on Earth" and "Planet Earth" and I even love "Resolution". "Mr. Goodnight" is definately something only someone that is smooth and sexy can pull off. And the criticism of "Turn Me Loose"? Come on'! The lyrics are dirty(or are they?), and the song is funky! Whats the problem. I haven't heard the studio version, but I think he turned it OUT on Jay Leno. And he even had Renato playin' some funky keyboad! By the way....I sure do hope we eventually hear a full version of "Feel Better, Feel Wonderful". That S was off the hook! That keyboard....it was remeniscent of "Head" and "Sexy Dancer" and every other song that Prince has effin' ripped it up on keyboard.

In closing, I just wanted to say...I just felt I had to say this....Prince, I love you man. You are great, and you have added alot to my life. Anybody else that feels the same...please represent!

Prince, if you are reading this...Keep going man! Keep making that funky music, don't let any criticism get you down because we love you! And also, in your lyrical words, "Release It". Trust me, anything you release, we will buy! We love you!

Please chime in if you agree. We gotta let Prince know how much we really feel about him and how we will support him as long as he is out there!

I was at the celebrations as well and was just overwhelmed...
Prince is brilliant, genius, versatile, sweet, funkay, and fine as can be.
I simply adore Prince and how he has so enriched my life.
