failure 2 clean up that photo, the one with the filthy glass in the door! Yuk!

sack the cleaner! ..oh i 4got, she’s too busy poking about in his room..

the biggest shocker gotta be the ‘style source directory’
i know he had all those people 2 kit out
& lotsa women 2 keep satisfied,
but he obviously blagged all those fexpensive outfits..

he’s sooo canny!...blag the clothes,
model the clothes, compile a book, credit the fashion houses,
& then rake in the readies

In my opinion it's a kinda colaboration between designer (Versaci, Cavalli) (H&M - only the twins and Prince . They are all mentioned with internet-adresses etc. it's an excellent coffee-table catalogue. Would b a very goodlooking book at the hairstylist of your trust.

I love the book! The pictures are so nice. The pictures are very vogue magazine like.

A nice book with great photos. Nothing spectacular, but it's a nice addition to my collection, so no complaints!

I just got my book this morning, such a christmas morning like feel of excitement opening it up, its so big, I really like it, he looks like a 30 year old man in the pictures though, how is this man 50 years old, few too many pics of the maid i thought, but i guess its something for the guys to drool over!!
Overall its a lovely book and for the price, great value for money

Love the book and cd! My only criticism would be that the dates in the book don't seem to match up with the actual events that took place. In the book, it says he was in Prague between 4.am 13th Sep right up to 11.11pm on night 20, 20th Sep). So on Sunday 16th and Thu 20th he must have been in 2 places at the same time. Unless I'm mistaken?

Just got mine in Fri (thanks Bro) and haven't had time to look through it till toninght. I think the photos are very well done and enjoyed singing the lyrics(silently of course), but was disappointed with the actual construction of the book. The first 20 pages have impressions of the CD from the front cover. The last 10 have an impression what must be some sort of anti theft "chip" in the back cover. You would think with the photos being the purpose of the book that they would do everything to preserve said purpose and keep thos photos as pristine as possible.

21 NIGHTS - UNDERWHELMING

21 Nights - A bit of a vanity project IMO. Only a couple of pics I really think are nice, I esp.like the one with him on the telephone looking coy (Night 3 of 21).
The rest are too staged/lifeless and there are two many pics of the same thing (chambermaids and the empty stadium).
I notice the opening pic is an airport lounge but think this may have been Prague and not the UK as all the advertisements in the background appear to be in an different language. Some of the chronology is also a bit mixed up, didn't P go to Prague half way through the stint, not just before the end?

There is a bit of an overuse of lens flare IMO and those fashion pictures of the girls looking in the shop window seem just shallow.

The centre bit with the twins - double the trouble/double the fun is a bit corny don't you think?

Some nice pictures of Prince but you don't get a sense of the electric or the excitement of the live performances, it just seems like a glorified fashion shoot, and thats not so cool.

The picture with the Bible and the jewellery is interesting, is he making a comment on a choice between material or spiritual riches or is he trying to meld the two? If so, its not really Biblical!


Not sure who the girl on his bed is near the end (Night 16), is he implying she was a girlfriend there (reading the poetry)? The pic of him and a PA(?) on the roof is nice.

The storyline/message is not very coherent either, just a mishmash and some nice pics of him taken around the time (and in the tourbook) should have been included but weren't.

Like the CD its pretty underwhelming and too obsessed with vanity and fashion.
Not quite sure how this reconciles with his religious beliefs.

I love this book, Im just a little disappointed there isnt more poetry, Id have done without all the lyrics and had more pages of notes, re-writes etc a more intimate insight. But then thats not really how prince does stuff. Im just grateful he released the cd with it as thats the most intimate any of us is gonna get with prince. Those aftershows are the real insight into waht makes him tick.

And surely Prince would have checked out the names of the artists on his own CD...

Who is Beverly Knight? If it's the lady at the final aftershow, I think she is called Beverley Knight

What a surprise to come home 2, a big box from Amazon, and inside a large Purple Book, which I think is brilliant, it presents a side of Prince I never knew existed, it portrays Prince as a human being, the photos of him in Prague facing the castle, him standing in the wardrobe, him on the bed with the tapes and the neatly coiled Ipod, Superb photography and lyrics make it an album du jour, just think it costs the same as Emancipation but u get so much more, expect a more fulsome review later

The book is self-indulgent coffee table SHITE!!!!!

I have to say that I really like the book a lot...The best photo besides a few of Prince, is the picture of Josh and CC.
I have a few problems with the flash and there is a picture of Chelsea, that is blurry...It doesn't look soft focus. It the one with the purple flowers in the distance.
Prince in the yellow coat is not good enough for a book like that. I'm sorry, that is my opinion. The Twinz ruin the really nice group shot...however, they look beautiful in all of the other photo's. The rest of the pictures are great...with the exception of the venue on night 15. That is photo waste. I'm sorry.
You cannot get mad at me however, because I am someone that would always buy the book...Nobody loses a sale with me...I'd buy the whole book 4 one good picture, so I'm allowed to complain.

The 21 Nights book is number 9 on the New York Times best selling Hardcover Non fiction list for October 19, 2008. It's also the most expensive book on the list.

I got this book on Oct. 18 for my birthday which was on the 19th, I love the pics of Prince...I too, could do without the maid photos of the Twins and I would have like to have seen more laid back, spontaneous photos. But, overall, I love it. Have not listened to the cd yet.

Being a graphic designer, I thought the layout could have been much better. Some great photos of P were awkwardly sandwiched in spreads and therefore lost in the book's spine, some text was difficult to read and although I liked the stylized "GQ meets Vogue" shots, it seemed too stylized in spots. I would have liked to have seen more crowd/fan frenzy and performance shots than the usual, "look how sexy I am" Prince shots. We know he's FINE. I love Prince's innate/prolific desire to offer his fans something new and fresh. However, some of the lyrics chosen were that of songs most fans know and the end of the book with the maid (CR) waiting in his room was very gimmicky and trite for him at this point of his career. The Prince coffee table book is a cool concept but I think it could have been done MUCH better. Still, for the Prince collector, it's a nice collectible and one that you should purchase to have.

I would have liked to see some more of these types of pics:

worst thing: a 50 year old handsome and attractive man ruining it by trying to look 20.

prince would look so good with some grey hair, not a lot of make up and showing more wrinkles.
