"Be My Mirror" This is deffintely one of the best Prince songs that I have ever heard ! I can not believe that he scrapped it and never shared with the world ! If ya don't know it U R missin' out on a master piece !

I like that one, too. I wouldn't rank it as "one of the best" - but it's a good song nevertheless. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

its such a simple song, yet so heartbreaking. i literally didnt used to be able to get past the first line or so without breaking into tears.

this song sucks! he sounds like a sissy on that chorus. definitely one of his corniest tracks ever. it's no wonder why it didn't end up on The Vault. he probably relalized it too. | |

though it didn't sound quite like a Prince song until I noticed his falsetto towards the end.
Makes me wonder when he wrote it. Either it was from 1992-96 or was fairly recent (which explains the simplistic lyrics). had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

Your High  as its a very pretty song and I guess U R Not a true Prince fan as its very creatively sung and lyrically written ! Either it was from 1992-96 or was fairly recent (which explains the simplistic lyrics). this song was originally supposed 2 b in the "i'll do anything" movie with nick nolte. the original idea was 4 a bunch of songwriters 2 contribute 2 the movie with it being a musical themed story. when test audiences dogged it, all the songs were removed. if u ever c the movie, u'll c a nick nolte speaking 2 his daughter in a bedroom and there is a full length mirror behind them. this is where the song would have fit. there is a version of nick nolte singing this song but i wouldn't recommend hearing it. but this song is golden and fits in the context of a someone coaching a child in acting. man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81 | |

I'm so glad he never released this song. It's truly awful. It sounds to me like it belongs on some childrens CD.
There are only a handful of songs of prince's I don't like but this and Hold Me are his worst and I hope he never releases even of them. | |

Rich, as i read these responses I am lookin at both sides of the inputs opinions r given negative and positive we all will voice our thoughts 
but how many can sing ? how many r famous 4 sharing themselves with millions ?
