I guess u are happy to have this recording. Sorry your morning is sad. Remember music is charming. The intention is to deliver an emotion through the song. Wait 5 minutes and another emotion will come at you before you get sad again. I've been listening to the radio for years, and my senses have been all over the place. I go through ever changing moods all day long. I just welcome all of the feelings that music brings. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I have to be careful with certain songs cos there are P songs that I just cannot listen to without blubbing, PR, 17 days, When Doves Cry and I hear your voice to name just a few - and its not good on the bus when people assume something bad has happened and I have to explain that a piece of music has really touched me. Lucky for me there are plenty of other great songs to get my feet moving and my soul to follow.

I actually preferred Shelby J's version of it!! Amy doesn't really 'touch' me now because, well just because, it's like she's wasted her talent, but it obviously touched Prince, just the fact that she was there, and he loves that song so much, so....

Omigod! I just saw a video of Prince at the piano doing this song this morning, isn't that a beautiful song? I hope he has this on the next cd.

I doubt it, but she seemed to manage not to fall over or anything... Maybe Prince had her put in a cold shower, given lots of coffee, and gave her a little pep talk before she set foot on that stage

I was at the last Indigo aftershow with my sis and her daughter... some night it was... we were lucky to be stood centre front... right in front of the lyric board! Soooo close we could see his... breath! Sweet... Amy was good, her expression was a like that of a little bunny caught in the headlights... she had a fixed gaze lookin' out over the audience. Not sure her performace of Love Is A Losing Game was the best... would love to hear P's version... Who was that takin' photos from stage left with a 4ft camera lens? Looked like Randee 2 me...

Yes, I've seen Amy singing it over on the TUBE and DM, why the heck is she pulling at her skirt? She really is messed up but she's got a great voice. [Edited 9/9/08 15:39pm]

she slurred alot of the words, quite indistinguishable, liked shelby's better,
The cokney saying "Amy whinehouse" kinda puts me off as well Like a Gb Major with a E in the bass

Listened to it too this morning...
It´s not sad in the sense that she is good at expressing sad emotions. She is sad by definition. I agree with most people here, the perfomance was not good on her part, Prince however did an interesting job on guitar. And afterall, I think he also did good in giving her that chance on stage on such an important night, it was brave of him to show her support and belief when the rest of the world won´t. Amy Winehouse does have a huge talent, and someone needs to tell her ´cause she obviously doesn´t know herself. I hope one day she wakes up sober and realizes that her talent and gift is so big that she shared the stage with Prince (like Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and so many many many great musicians have done before)

We could call ourselves lucky if she won't wake up dead.

I think he said something about us all looking after her, at some point too, maybe that was a different night though.... [Edited 9/10/08 8:14am]
