Seeing Prince is going back to the States, after the Japan leg, to be on the Jay Leno show, I suppose this means us Aussies will miss out again.
After i complete this post, I will send the club an email in regards to being so dissappointed again in missing out. We get our hopes up, thinking about the great benefits we will finally be able to use, from being a member, only to miss out and not get our money's worth from the club and get no other benefits either.

Sorry about the bitch session, but i had to get it out.
Hopefully he proves me wrong and comes Down Under.

i think the logic in tours following japan with australia is more relevant to the transport of the gear as opposed to the artists, the gear could still go to aussie after japan and be stored until jan, its no big deal for a few people to travel back and forth between countries, i dont know this is how it works but its just an idea.

I live in Australia so of course I want Prince to come to Australia. I still hold out hope, as there are still concert dates in Japan after the Jay Leno performace.

I am still praying for Prince to grace Australia with this current tour. I have read about it so much, and every time I read about it again I want to go more and more.
PLEASE COME PRINCE!!!

The Aussie tour should happen in Jan. I agree the gear will come here and he will fly back in the new year.

From a promoter's point of view...the Aussie dollar is doing very well lately and every half cent it rises against the greenback helps in securing a deal with P.

Jan 2003 does seem logical...between Dec 13 & 25 there's not really enough time to tour down here & i doubt if he'd tour over the holidays...

There's a strong rumour now that Prince will announce a tour in Australia for Jan 4th. But, of course, there was a strong rumour that he was coming in December.

Ok, this comes from a good friend who badgered a tour promoter until she caved. She said that there wouldn't be anything for December, but that a anouncement might be made around 4th January for a tour. Which means it looks like it would happen mid to late January.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, the jan 4 thing is doubtful, I still don't see him going home and returning, but i'm still hopefull.
The only problem is, i'll have to renew the membership so i can get kick ass seats if he tours next year!!!
