There are far far too many to name. For me, I guess it had to be songs off his Parade album. See, my dad was the orignal Prince fan until I pretty much outdid him... I ended up loving Prince more for his songs and my dad ended up sittin' in the corner like- "ookay. you handle this. o_o" Reaching waaaaay back into my childhood, though, the Scandalous song comes to mind. I think I heard Kiss first, though, and just didn't know who it was. | |

When I was a little kid, before Purple Rain, before 1999 he released CONTROVERSY. That was REALLY the beginning of his trademark sound.
After that I looked forward every year to every new release, and he got better and better. That is until the 90's and he's been coasting ever since, but that’s ok, he turned me into an avid music collector and he has since passed the baton to new generation. [Edited 5/20/08 12:33pm] | |
