0114: Petty has so far been through American Girl, I Won't Back Down, Freefalling and something my colleague Mark doesn't recognise. All on a stage shaped like a guitar on the half-way line. Bet the players love this.

would be great to see MJ do something again, as an entertainer he was always entertaining razz

omg I just realized what SCNDLS just said! Eeek, scary!

He could dance and sing, I remember! But lets see if he's still got it, some report I saw a few years ago I thought he lost that sparkle and excitement he used to have, I should've gone back in '97 when I had the chance. Isn't he supposed to have concerts in London? Guess we'll be seeing or hearing reviews here in the Non-Prince Music section.

I saw Michael at a Prince show at 3121 in February of last year during NBA All Star weekend. Prince walked into the VIP and played the bass in his face. eek lol That was some funny shit! But MJ seemed to enjoy the show. I think they've always had a level of mutual respect for each other. I've never seen Michael live, but just now watching the video of his Superbowl performance had me screaming like I was 9 years old watching Motown 25. But shhh don't tell nobody. LOL!

lol I have seen MJ live, back in 88, a disaster, the set up and all the other shit was great, but MJ live is pathetic, he sings like he is on steroids or some sort of strange female enhancing drugs. It was very disappointing to say the least, but as Irish people we were happy he played two concerts in Cork, but we had to wait another two yrs before the master arrived wink

I noticed that MJ almost always lip synchs which is annoying but I love his performance attitude and dancing so much that I can overlook it. smile Although, next to the Motown 25 performance, his performance of Man in the Mirror on the 88 Grammys with a full gospel choir is another all time fave performance. He actually sang live on this one.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1zpTQCQEFhg

Edit:

Okay I just watched this and MJ and his Jehovah's Witness self went SKRAIT to church in this performance. I think he mighta caught the Holy ghost up in there! LOL!!! He even pulled the classic James Brown move of having someone fan him while he was on the floor. Only thing missing was a cape! LOL!!! Great performance, but my man's wig was to' the hell up at the end. But he brought it to 'em. lol

As for the Superbowl, I live in Dallas so I'ma die hard Cowboys fan. But I hate the Patriots so I was rooting for the Giants even though they beat the 'boys. So let me be the first to congratulate them on this historic win and to say that Belichek is a classless punk ass bitch to walk off the field with time on the clock, while his players had to run a play without their leader there, AND for him to leave without congratulating the opposing team's coach. See, God don't like ugly and karma is bitch so that's why ya'll cheatin' asses got beat by a wildcard team. Go, Big Blue!!! That was a great game! clapping

AMAZING game, the defense was manhandling Brady all night. Every time they hit him, I was like, "Hit him AGAIN. Hit him in his mofo mouf!!! Don't get up, Tom! Stay on the turf fool, cuz you gon' be there all day!" LOL! I HATE the Patriots. They were so smug leading up to the playoffs. And NOBODY (but me) really thought the Giants could do it. The whole time the Giants were all, "Oh so ya'll ain't gon' show us no respect huh? Alright, then. . . " Then they killed Brady all day. LOVED IT!!! lol

lol reminds me of the 2005 champions league final, Liverpool 0-3 down at half time, and came back to win the trophy. An unbelievable moment in sport and from the sounds of it another one tonight lol

Oh, well, I guess Randy Moss and Junior Seau gon' have to play AGAIN next year chasin' that ring! LOL! Boo-hoo!

And they made Eli MVP. I LOVE it. After the hell this kid has been through in the media and people being down on him and just meanspirited in their criticism of him. I'm also happy for my gaptoothed baby-daddy Michael Strahan that he FINALLY got his ring. But he gon' have to play a few mo' seasons to recoup what his wife took from him before me and his broke ass get married. wink lol The final sign of karma is that Tiki Barber and his triflin' ass retired last year WITHOUT a ring, and that Jeremy Shockey divisive self was too injured to play. Again, God don't like ugly!

Man, there is nothing like being at a SuperBowl party at college when a local team is going to the SuperBowl AND wins it!!

It was an awesome game. Eli Manning really surprised me when he got away from the defense when it looked like they had him down and turned around to make possibly the easiest touchdown in SuperBowl history, lol.

As for Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, they weren't bad, but they won't go down as one of the best HalfTime shows of all time. It wasn't spectucular, but it was good. Especially the last song with those guitar solos, his guitarist was really good nod

Once I accepted that it was no longer Prince's time, it was a good show, but it won't go down in any history book of HalfTime shows.

woot! GO GIANTS!! woot! [haha, my throat's still sore from screaming. I was going back across the lake to my dorm and I could hear the screaming all the way on the other side of the lake. It was amazing!]

Don't forget the best underdog story of all, David slew Goliath. I guess the Patriots were a lil premature in copyrighting "19-0" and pre-selling a DVD of their victorious season. hahahahahahaha now THAT's too funny. That's what their smug tails get! ESPN just said that Tom Brady was knocked off his feet 18 times not including SIX sacks. LOL! I love it! "Hit him AGAIN!" I want someone to tackle Tom's butt one last time in the parking lot! I HATE the Patriots! LOL! lol

Eli REALLY needs to get everybody on defense a Rolex or sumthin, cuz they played their butts off and saved him from having to win by scoring. Great game! They just interviewed Bill Belichek's punk ass, and if Tom Petty looked like a stiff corpse in the halftime show, Belichek is the Grim Reaper. LOL! nana
