Why does "Another Lonely Christmas" Get No Props?
Truly, it is one of P's best songs and it fits in perfectly with the Revolution era. Oddly enough, as hot as P was at the time, I don't remember that song getting a lot of airtime on the radio.

I love it,and I listen 2 it year round,not only at Christmas.

The extended version is one of the best!!! It didn't get a lot airplay because it was the b-side of "I would die 4 u". It actually charted on Billboard's Christmas charts in 1985.

i remember when i 1st heard didnt know where it came from but i had 2 have i that next day went 2 the local record shop and searched all his cd and 12 inches til i found it

The song is very beautiful and is awesome all year round! I only have the 7" version,I would love 2 hear the extended version !!! The 45 has a great picture on it also!!!

I LOVE this song ! I'm surprised to read it was the B-side of " I would die for you". He sounds so different on this song....mature. Does anybody have a clue as who is this girl who died that Prince sings about?? I've always been curious .

It's some fictional girl, no doubt.

His B sides were like hidden treasures back in the day. It's an awesome song.

It's ok but I never thought it deserved the hype. To depressing.

Also one of my personal favorites along with I Hate U. As to your question, I don't how long you have been on this site but every 3-4 months someones starts a thread about how great this song is. A lot of people agree it's a masterpiece and a few say it's o.k. and a very few say they don't like it. So in the end Another Lonely Christmas gets a lot of props and routinely might I add.

I like that song.

Because it has too much reverb and its depressing as fuck.

Has anybody heard the ALC demo? It's cool. You hear prince making corrections during the recording session of the song. I believe there are 5 different takes on this demo.

i have always enjoyed that song/not in december as the snow falls/hits 2 close
