I have no interest in
1 - speculation about what Prince has or has not done in regards to possible sueing

2 - speculation in regards to what Prince will/will not, has/has not, or will/will not do in regardss to sueing, or asking sights to do

3 - speculation in regards to..anything doing with PFU..at all.


I have every interest in what Prince will/has done in regards to ALL legal and true response/actions...or movements in regards to this matter.

The fact that he put out a FUNKY ASS song but still has not really responded proves to me ONE THING....

That....NO ONE know except his management company, legal reps and himself exactly know what HE has intended for said "Cease and Desist" order....soo....if he is watching this board...i hope he is grown up enuff to understand that peoples personal opinions are 'Just That' and reality ultimatley is in the music.

I AM NOT a person whom is a blind and foolish Prince follower....frankley...i am a person...who is strictly a fan *fam* and am here because on his first record in the intro he said he would share with us his life and music. I am fascinated by his business ventures but am not affected by it on an eveyday basis as well as all fans/fams should NOT be....then...really just chill and STOP attacking him on a personal level cause you HAVE NOT IDEA what is the real situation in HIS life....HE WIL SHARE WITH US....BE PATIENT.

If u consider yourself a fan then support, but if not....then just wait and see.
Cause....think about yourself and how you would feel if someone made personal attacks on you, without knowing you personally AND not knowing said situation up close and personal.

I am NOT SAYING don't voice your opinion....because by all means he has...and will always...but remember....he is one against millions of opinions....you (the orger/Prince Fan/Fam) are one maybe against just a few and his....

Remember....he is JUST AS HUMAN AS YOU....and makes mistakes just like you/me... all of us....really get a clue....and try...to be understanding....and maybe just a little kinder in your written opinions.

I have many, many gripes against Prince in regards to Shows, fandom and music but have respectfully tempered them in 'PUBLIC' because i KNOW that he may read it.

I agree with PFU....BUT....you MUST understand...that the issue in question comes from Prince's companies that REPRESENT HIM....NOT him.....their is a BIG DIFFERECE. He may think one thing and the companies action may be their interpertation of what he says....they are looking at it from a different point of view.....what he wants and what happens MAY be 2 different things...

Ah, but the companies that represent him are directly acting on Prince's
instructions. Sure, there's going to be the odd thing that gets caught in the
crossfire that Prince hadn't specifically intended, but we're talking about a
very small margin here. Believe me, Prince is very well aware of exactly what
is being carried out in his name.

This is the problem right here Kim. You believe it is only Prince's companies involved because AEG said so in their press release. Therefore, you are relying on misinformation. This is also the same news reporting that tried to lump the three sites in with pirate bay. Do you really believe Prince has no idea what Paisley Park Enterprises and NPG Records are doing? These are the "companies" that have made demands in most of the letters.

Trust me when boris says Prince knows, HE KNOWS!

You also have to consider that Prince is a public figure, you cannot compare talking about his cirucmstances to talking about those of a private citizen such as you and I.

However, that being said, the joint statement should be released soon. Unfortunately with so many entities involved (all the sites and Prince's team), it takes time to have it reviewed, revised and approved by all. Rest assured, all parties involved are working towards a solution.

Nice post Kim. I agree with being supportive, while we are here. Prince is no stranger to all that could be said. If he comes along to read, I would hope he would see something nice.

i responded to several of comments, not just that one in particular. one of the comments was that prince's companies is doing this so why is prince getting the heat (paraphrasing here) and I was clarifying the issue. being intimately involved in the ongoing battle, I just thought she was entitled to the facts.

but, for the record, my sympathies do not lie with prince, because having dealth with this for months and months, I see how it is affecting the owners of these sites on a personal level. It may seem trivial to you, but being hauled into court is a true reality for these guys, and even more so for those in other countries that have been threatened with criminal activities as well. my support right now lies with Aaron, Ben, Endre and Jonathan.
