I'm not going to vow to quit listening to Prince or quit visiting this website or anything like that, but I'm very, very disheartened by the whole thing. Prince has been a hero of mine, and his music has gotten me through a lot. It let me to so many great people here, including my wife. As such, he means a lot to me. But this is a low blow. He doesn't seem to realize that independent fansites serve to celebrate him and his music by and large. I've written my greatest accolades about Prince on this very site, as have many others.

It's just a shame that the funkiest jam Prince has put out in so many years comes with the sour taste of all the recent problems.

Loving the song, but I do hope he hires someone decent to manage his PR soon - the recent trouble with the fansites strikes me as something that could and should have been sorted out painlessly with a bit of dialogue.
