Haven't heard it yet but this is so funny. Just a few hrs ago I was listening to Ben on the Prince Podcast. He was saying that it would be grate if Prince wrote a song about this and he has.

this is to all the Prince obsessors who always worshipped every little thing Prince did and NEVER thought the man could do wrong...all the people who were his "YES" men and women....all the people on this site who would attack us regular fans if we even mentioned the fact we hated PE or didnt agree with him on ALL issues like blind sheep.....seems like a lil criticism (done out of love of course) can go a lonnnnggggg wayyyyy....when he was a frustrated artist trying to be rebellious and get his name out there he made "1999" and other classics...when he was a satisfied man surrounded by people who thought he was God On Earth he made Graffiti bridge ...anyways the point is I love all Prince fans but giving an artist reason NOT to be too comfortable can make an artist get hungry and to truly be creative as shown by this song

The funniest thing is, the style of the song - it's as if it's a tongue in cheek F.U. back in a way, because it's got a lot of elements of classic mid-80s Prince, which I think is probably a statement in itself, ya think.

Kinda hitting back at the 'he doesn't sound like he used to' crowd. Same goes for the bit about 'The Grand Progression'.


Any way, I just found the perfect replacement for Mr. Goodnight on my PE playlist on the old iPod.
