Just a shame Prince's religious/political views (?) are stopping him from dancing in videos - as it would be nice to see him move in a video.

But the desire for that "very thin look like a model" or seeing a model as a "role model" still has an effect on many young girls/women today trying to get into the modeling industry or basically just desiring to look and be shaped like what the modeling industry says the "ideal female" should look like..but Barbie's boyfriend, the "Ken doll" pretty much kept low-keyed in all this..'cuz no one ever complained about his looks or bodyweight.. what can I say..it's still a man's world in the modeling industry which seems to dictate what the ideal female should look like...and that's just my take on it.

I still love the video though and the message the song transcends.

I think this is almost Prince's worst video ever -- even worse than those cheapo in house Paisley Park videos from the mid 90s where they just added fake sand and water to the same set... this band is just so atrocious... it's like the bizarro NPG. Get rid of Shelby and Marva, focus more on the real musicians like Renato. Get a decent drummer. And make some real rock and roll for once. Prince looks old and tired. This video is a piece of total a$$. Fail.

To sum up : excellent song & band, very average video, but not a bad one !

It's not the worst video ever, it's just not exciting, and the song is fun, the concept is fun.
