Jam of the Week "Here I Come" from Bria Valente at www.3121.com

Check out www.3121.com - they have a Jam of the Week by Bria Valente called "Here I Come"..nice sound, very sexy track, has a real nice vibe...good job Bria!

Just click onto where it states "Jam of the Week" on the advertisement at www.3121.com and it will lead you right into Bria's track, the link to the track is also on the 3121 bulletin.

I think it's nice that they have a jam of the week. Reminds me of the Reflection Room and Glam Slam from the NPGMC when they played different tracks every weekend.

I just noticed this too. Sounds like Prince producing and playing guitar. I think I hear some background vox from him at one point too.

It's definitely a very, sexy track. Her voice kinds of reminds you of singer Carol Riddick. Nice track though.

This song sucks... r&b music sucks. Let it go already. Where is the real meaningful music? Every girl Prince lays, she has to come out with a song or an album. Wack.

You may not like r&b but she sounds good singing that track..to each his own, you don't like it, then simply don't listen to it, case closed.

No, I think Prince is just 15 years late.

I listened to it once and that's enough for eternity. IMHO, the song is a flop. It falls into that "rambling words" genre, where at the end of the song she's just talking crap, exactly like Future Baby Mama. Why can't Prince write a song with a melody and hook anymore?

nod With the exception of Manuela, she was the only one who didn't start singing after she got laid by Prince. I wonder why? Maybe she couldn't sing...then again, all of his ex-girlfriends and wives couldn't sing. lol

It's a nice track. But..."sitting on the floor of the shower?" Yuck. (I got a visual of Glenn Close sitting in the shower floor and crying in "The Big Chill.")

And do chardonnay corks "pop?"

Bria provides backing vox on the majority of his work from Rav through to Planet Earth I believe. Don't know if thats common knowledge or not.

I think she is only credited in doing so on the Planet Earth Album.

He had Rhonda, Candy, Támar, Marva King doing the back vocals on the Rave to 3121 albums. Check the cd booklets.

I've had plenty of good chardonnay, dingdong. rolleyes But the soprano cork pop of a still wine is hardly the same as the deeper, more explosive pop of a sparkling wine.

That was my point.

I would like to know who she is. I can't find any pictures or any info on her on the net. That song is very Prince-ish, like Shh.

Oh god,

There you have two words that just dont match succesfully: 'Prince' and 'R&B'.

I must admit i am quite of affraid to go to 3121.com, because Prince doing what so called hip, cool, modern, superficial people call 'R&B' has never result into something worthfull, just generic, boring, uninspired drab...

What's with all the "R&B" bashing? I sense some code words.

code words?

allright, get a grip.

Has seen this before... to be honest, its the other way around, people being critical about modern 'R&B' are the ones being bashed in here.

Nurse,

I love soul music, the early works of James Brown, Aretha, the vocals of Otis and Al, the experiments of Sly Stone and George Clinton.

But sorry, modern "R&B" is a travesty... wheres the soul? wheres the funk? Its generic, polished drab without authencity.

Thanks for the clarification-I can agree that modern R&B has major problems.

Modern Popular music has major problems. To make blanket statements about a whole genre of music is ridiculous. And I guess it all comes down to what you put into these categories. Is Bjork part of your generalization because she worked with Timbaland? There is alot of generic crap out there period.
