Need help: did Prince actually appear at this party?

The author of a book I just read made a claim about Prince and I can't substantiate it. Maybe you orgers can help?

He claims to have attended a party "hosted by Prince" at the Skybar nightclub in the Mondrain Hotel in LA. He doesn't give an exact date, but it was in March or April 2004. He also made it a point to mention that Dennis Rodman was at the party.

Some googling reveals that Prince did perform in August 2006 at a post-Emmys party in that club. But I can't find any mention of a 2004 appearance there. hmmm

I'm only interested because I've found several other factual errors in this book, and I'm wondering if I can add this supposed Prince appearance to that growing list. wink

I can't seem to trace anything beyond what you've found ... the book is 'Chasing Ghosts'?

thumbs up! Well done, yes that's the book I'm scrutinizing. wink

Far as I can tell, his partying-with-Prince story is BS...so I wonder how much else in the book is exaggerated/fabricated? wink
