The almost Prince and Michael duet

It's been clarified for years that Michael's song "Bad" was supposed to be a duet with his royal badness. But he politely turned it down because of the lyrics. Instead he said wouldn't mind doing something else with him and it never came about. So,it is now 2007 going into 2008 and no Michael Jackson and Prince duet yet. Will it ever happen? I would like to see it before ones timely passing on this earth. Who knows? Maybe its all about timing. After all, we never thought Prince would work with Stevie Wonder or Elton John so anything is possible. What you guys think?
Peace and be wild!

Im no fan of MJ but lm sure the duet would be less enbarassing than the one he made with Eve, Carmen Electra, Gwen Stefani,... I say let's give it a try, who knows it might sound interesting especially if Prince compose it.
I can't see it happrn anytime soon though.

I've never been particularly excited by the idea of a duet between the two of them, but if tbey did do something, it would be great if it was a ballad, kind of unusual to see two male stars coming together for a ballad, don'y you think? A rock or funk uptempo track seems a bit obvious.
PIPS! Eurgh...

I remember seeing a Prince interview on YouTube where he was asked if he was going to duet "Bad" with MJ. Prince said something like "Now, the first line of that song is 'Your butt is mine,' now I don't know who's supposed to be singing to who, but I want nothing to do with it."

A Prince/Michael duet? eek
I certainly don't care to see the both of them on the same stage.
Plus, Michael would get even more negative publicity, because Prince is without a doubt the better performer!
The moment Prince picks up his guitar, Michael can moon-walk his ass off the stage. lol

MJ cant dance or sing as before and prince can play better each year. thats a big difference between the 2.

Chris Rock and Prince on VH-1 One 2 One interview in early '97

"The Wesley Snipes character was going to be me, now run that through your mind. The first line of that song is your butt is mine, now who is going to sing that to whom? Because I sure ain't singing dat to you and you dang sure ain't singing dat to me...so right there we have a problem.”

In the interview Rock made a comment about in the 80's Prince was a crazy sex person and Michael was "Mr. Disney" and now look... Princ eis married with a family and Michael is on trail for touching boys....
Prime aka The Kid

"I need u to dance, I need u to strip
I need u to shake Ur lil' ass n hips
I need u to grind like Ur working for tips
And give me what I need while we listen to PRINCE"

Definately think this is a better choice. Especially if the collaborative effort benefits both. And, Stevie would also be geat!

Yes, agreed. Prince is uoubtedly the greater quotient. MJ also has alot of fans outside of the U.S. and therefore thought it might be o.k. based on publicity and sales. But it probably wouldn't work.
