Thanks newskin69. I'm not a Guns and Roses fan at all so I never heard the song at all. I just remember there being a lot of controversy about some homophobic and racial slurs coming from the band in the late 80s or early 90s. I had always thought they were on the back of the album cover or something. Didn't one of the band members wear a T-Shirt somewhere that said something like "God hates fags" or "AIDS kills fags"?

I think the author of the thread made it clear that he wants to know about people who DON´T or DIDN´T like Prince, and that also includes dead people.

Slash and Prince were at the American Music awards one year (just after Prince had recorded Batman) and Slash mentioned during an interview that Prince completely blew him off... "But looked like a fag anyways..."

My issue was not weather or not Marvin had any beef with Prince. It's just that that origional poster said something like Marvin not liking Prince "anymore". I didn't know if this person was aware that Marvin was gone. No negativity intended, just stating some facts.

See, that's what I love about Prince. He doesn't waste his time mingling with the trash. Aren't Guns and Roses the ones that had something on the back of one the albums talking about "niggers, jews, and fags"? If so, yeah, they are trash and not worthy of Prince's or anyone else's time.

And while Slash is talking about someone looking like a "fag", I notice he has no problem performing with Michael Jackson. Of course, assholes have no problem with weak "fags" like Michael. It's strong "fags" like Prince they can't stand because the strong fags turn their nose up and see themselves above trash rather than crying somewhere like Michael Jackson.

I think it is obvious that Justin Timberlake is a Prince hater. He HAS to be jealous because he wishes he had a fraction of the talent. And he is a punk and Prince is a legend.

I remember several years ago when I was in love with TRAIN due to 'Drops of Jupiter' and the lead singer was on a VH-1 'best of' countdown show where Sinead's
'NOthing Compares to You' was ranked.

The guy said the only thing bad about the song was that Prince wrote it.

How could a serious musician say something like that? I was so offended that I stopped listening to Train.

Seriously, my heart stopped. That's a damn beautiful song, beautifully written and who is he to talk about PRince!
