The lyrics are tired and prudish plus the disco re-tread does nothing for me. Can imagine him stretching it out for a 15 minute jam session live. Uncle Larry pulling nasty bass faces all the way... Glug, glug like a mug

Second best song on the album; Great horns for once, nice singing from that new girl. She the new Rosie, yo. All you others say Hell Yea!!

I like this alot. It kind of reminds me of those bands "Foxy" and "The invisible man's band"...That song "All night thing". I love this song.

Old School like Chaka's "I'm Every Woman". Nice horns and groove for those that love their 70's disco funk. Good tune though... After listening to this tune all the way through, I like it a lot. Very fun! break it down for the horns...

ok i figured out a new line:
"Earth boots on and the flowers in her hair. 20th century hippy. Chelsea don't care." I can't think of the last album where I wanted to decipher Prince lyrics.

Awful...just awful ----- It called having fun. I am so tired of everyone looking for Prince to be Bob Dylan. WTF When was Prince that deep. It is a really fun track. Try to relax and groove to music and stop over analzying everything.

Laura is right. Sure this is a discussion forum, but gotdamn, some of you people over analyze everything.
It's a fun dance track for god's sake. Nothing less nothing more (to quote another song on the album). I mean how in the hell are you going to ever enjoy any song, if "shake it like a juicy juice" bothers you that much? I'll bet your ass sung along to "shake it like a Polaroid picture" when Andre 3000 said it. Now didn't you? He is exactly who we thought he was

Fall back sweetie and take your foolishness somewhere else. Do you really think I give a damn about you and Miss Laura getting your bloomers in a bunch over a comment I made about one line in a song? I love this song more and more everytime I hear it. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

I've seen more and more here not thinking much of this track and while I don't think it's terribly innovative, it's still a great dance track. And perhaps it would have only been a b-side in his prime but it's also his liveliest disco cut. The live horns beat out anything on For You or Prince and the organic nature of the cut shames Sleep Around to irrelevancy. No hard feelings.

When I first heard this track I thought, Oh another "everlasting now" but when he says "Break down" OMG i was like "there it is" prince was back, now i can't stop listening to this song, i've made my close first listen to it, and they love it, if there was gonna be a single this would be it!! PurpleCharm. I would never waste my time getting my bloomers in a bunch over you. You made a comment about the lyrics being stupid. I responded. If you can't take it then get the fuck off the board.

Lothan,
Get a life and a grip on your self. I don't agree with Purple Charms opinion about the song and suddenly I am shitting on people. WTF are you talking about. I think we can all agree to disagree and move on with our lives. Lothan said: PurpleCharm said: And who the hell are you? You're just a random ass fan like me and everyone else on this board. It's obvious that you don't know how to appropriately disagree with people that have differing opinion from yours. You love to roll up in threads with your raggedy ass attitude and down people's opinion. That's your MO. But I expect nothing more than juvenile behavior from you. Learn how to express your opinions like an adult.
And another thing, Laura, don't forward your thread comments to my orgnotes ANYMORE. [Edited 7/22/07 11:29am]

I stated my opinion just like everyone else on this board. Some people even agree with me. I think that is what is bothering you and it speaks volumes about your maturity level.
If you don't want to receive org notes from me don't go off and have a meltdown because I don't agree with one of your comments. You can't call me out and not expect a response. ----- PurpleCharm said: It's obvious that you don't know how to appropriately disagree with people that have differing opinion from yours. It is the groove that is fun. This song is no different than "Housequake" "The Bird" or "The Walk"
