...Uhhh, did you just state that the reason for their being other religions besides Christianity is all because of the devil?

Prince is done with JW.
He is to much a Type A Personality to listen to other humans. Clearly he has learned enough and now is using JW or the bible for what he wants. So in other words, he is slipping into being himself & chosing to follow parts of the bible he wants. Like most.

That however never stopped him from being a womaniser or use, hurt, and control friends, girl-friends, wives, or band-members along the way. Whenever prince is done with somebody, he will erase that person from his memory. That's very cold and wrong in most religions. Prince is a hypocrite like most of us. That's why it bothers me that he is so outspoken about JW just to make an ass out of himself later on when he moves on to something else. love the one who is Love!

The way he was 'preaching' to Wendy and Lisa about them being homosexual, that has nothing to do with dignity, but with him being brainwashed. The creepy, ignorant lyrics from The Rainbow Children speak of a person who has lost his mind, not someone with true wisedom. Jehovah Witnesses have no clue what life is about, they limit themselves in a ridicolous, painfull way, Please, Prince, leave that crap behind. It really baffles me how people start these threads or make posts commanding that Prince change his religion. Do they not know how wacky these rants make them seem??? Demanding, requesting or expecting a grown ass man, that has made a decision about his spirituality which is no one else's business, to stop practicing his chosen faith on the basis that YOU don't agree with it just seems crazy. Maybe it's just me. I guess being online gives people a sense of anonimity and the balls to say the most insensitive, intolerant, and ignorant bullshit. i agree!!!!! he is a grown man and his religion is no buissness of ours

What kind of argument is it that discussing Prince religious believes is some kind of 'no go' area, because its his own choice???? Geeze.
I mean, its ALSO his own choice what kind of music he makes, what sort of clothes he wears, what kind of touring plans he has, which women he dates with, but all these subjects are open to debate in here, sometimes leading to very trivial threads. In my opinion every subject relating Prince should be debetable in here, and that INCLUDES his religious believes. What so 'special' or 'private' about the subject, that debat about it needs to be 'censored'? The main reason i expressed my frustation about this, has to do with the situation that his religion at this moment, his private choice according to many in here, seems to effect the thing i care about in the first place, HIS MUSIC, in a negative way. Of course, opinions differ, but IMO his 'commitment' to the JW-movement, at first, have influenced his lyrics in a bad way. The smallminded, dogmatic bulllshit preached on The Rainbow Children, did almost end the last bit of faith i had in Prince. Next to that, its not only the lyrics, its ALSO the music, it seems / sounds like Princes JW-commitment has deranged himselve from his own sense of urgency, creativity, the 'spark' he once had. You can call it kitchenbook-psychology, but i have a strong sense of feeling that by betraying the elements that once made his music so special: his restlesness, his unbriddled creativity, and, yes, his lust / passion, his soul or spirit, whatever you name it, is tempered down. And you can hear it clearly in the music he delivers. To put it short, a religious view is not something that 'stands alone', it influences the choices people make, the way how they present themselves, how they express themselves, including expression through lyrics and music. Therefore this subject should also be debetable, and not be stuffed away, as some of you think it should.

I can tell you now, as an ex-JW, that the vast majority of that information posted in the first page of this thread is seriously misinterpreted! I may no longer believe most of the JW teachings but, if I was going to write an article on them, I'd at least have the grace to check the facts were accurate first - whether I believed them or not!
