And sorry to piss on the fire, but I find Christians are equally full of crap.
IF we were put on this earth by someone or something, we should make our OWN choices and take our OWN paths in life, not be told how and when to by a book, or common beliefs of groups. confused

So, bottom line, it aint no good picking on his belief as a JW, a lot of the ones who hate JW are other Christians, from personal experience, and you aint no better.

Sorry neutral

I am a Christian and I really think that a person's religion is a private matter, I don't think that anyone on this org should slander another's beliefs. If you don't like it, just keep your peace about it. This is a site for people who love Prince, music and all! If you find him that annoying, maybe you shouldn't be on Prince.ORG!
One day, very soon, we will all find out very quickly, who is right and who was terribly wrong about things.

Looks forward to the years to come.

The years within fundamentalistic christians, JW-followers, Mormons, evangelistic people, and scientology followers realise that they have been wrong in so many ways, limitating themselves, fooling themselves.

Good luck with that sense of relieve, enjoy it biggrin

well, as people have the freedom to express their christian beliefs, i have as much freedom to critisize those beliefs.

Luckily we have grown from a smallminded, regulated world that sees 'christian dogma's' as sacred, to a society that gives room for real freedom.

I don't understand the lack of freedom from being a christian? Should we have a society where everything goes and there are no fundamental or moral rules to live by?

The simple thing is: Jehovah Witnesses dont get what life is about, they limit themselves to religious dogma's, thinking those are the things that give them safety and understanding of life, when in the end they are plain wrong.

Wishing you the best, Prince.

So then what is life about if we were not put here to understand it better through religious teachings?

**** I thank God the government does not give 'em power otherwise I would have been burnt alive.....
A person who say 2 another one just 2 "think positive" 2 heal from a pretty serious psychiatrich problem is a plain IDIOT. Ppl who condemn curing depression with medicines and psychotherapy would deserve 2 live in the Inquisition Era just 2 understand the evil dogmas create....

So much nonsense here.

Like you need to be a christian, a JW, whatever, to have morals in life.

I am an agnost, and i feel very fine with my life.

If there are people who need to grow up and open their mind, it are people who comit themselves to dogmatic, religious 'rules'. Youre the ones missing the point, the ones living in the past, not grasping what reality is about.

'If I find him that annoying'????? what are you talking about? I don't find Prince annoying, I am saying that in my experience, most people who seem to have the biggest problems with JW's are Christians, and they aint no better! Simple. If people want to have there life dictated to by a book, then so be it. Just not for me. wink

I always thought the whole purpose for the bible was for us to learn from the past.

At one of the Vegas shows that recently appeared on bootleg CD, Prince is singing "Pink Cashmere" and suddently asks the crowd "Who is going to Temple tomorrow"? He is answered with SILENCE and he sort of says "Uhhh...OK" or something to that effect. He realized that he stepped over the line there.

I think the JW stuff is "crap", but if it makes him happy and helps him get through the day, then I have no problem with him being into it. And yes it is annoying when he "preaches" to us, but he keeps it to a minimum so it's no big deal.

i think its natural for any one of us to want to reach and learn about a better way of living, but according to most things i've read on 'the search for truth', there comes a point when it has to be taken very seriously. if Prince is serious in his 'quest', it will eventually ask him to renounce the world he's living in. not that there is anything wrong with it, but its values are in direct contradiction to those expressed in the Bible he so fervently studies. biggrin at least he's trying. heart btw, his music has done more for me than any book i ever red. cool
