I've just discovered the gig in Dortmund in 1988. What a great concert! What a setlist!

I'd like to know your opinions about this concert, and what do you think about the wonderful version of "Purple Rain" or "The Cross"...

I like it a lot!

It is indeed AWESOME. the vamp at the end of the cross is euphoric. During the solo of purple rain he appears possessed by the music and gives one of the performances of his life. the sister-jack u off meledy is baddddd as fuck. the guy was on fire. a fabulous concert.

I really like it when he plays Purple Rain and gets the audience to sing the "Purple Rain" part and he is so moved he looks like he is about to cry.

What a great show.
I was lucky enough to see it first hand in London.Great stage sound and lights and a set list to blow U away.

I think as it has only been released on Video and is nearing its 20th anniversary there should be a special double disk edition on DVD with extras

Fucking love it---my favorite parts are I Wish U Heaven and the dance part during Lovesexy (I think it's during Lovesexy.) And Sheila kicks so much ass on the drums and dancing in those heels!

The piano set is MY FAVORITE!!!!! I always back it up over and over, especially when he does Strange Relationship. I love everything about it, his charisma, the Mozart inspired outfit, and his confidence on the keys.

I was there .. but this certainly isn’t the best concert of the LoveSexy tour.
This concert is an average concert. I did like the first part of the show more than the previous Rotterdam shows, but found the second half of the Dortmund show disappointing / slick.
Strange that ya’ll mention The Cross, because this version can’t compete with the Sign O The Times Tour. The LoveSexy tour version is too fast, which makes it slick.
But it’s undoubtedly the best DVD you can get of the LoveSexy tour ... so if you didn’t attend the show yourself, this DVD is the closest to attending the real thing.

I wish one of the great shows in Paris was professionally filmed!
Especially the July 12th show. This show is a thousand times better than the slick Dortmund performance.

Brilliant Show! I love the 'Blues in C' song. "..If I had a Harem baby!!!...heres what I'd do!!.."

Oh yeah, "I Wanna Be Your Lover" is pretty good too... The bass line is fantastic. And I really loved the beggining, the rhythm is so funky on "Escape" and "Erotic City"...

You guys got me so excited about this that I had to watch it again last night! Of course, the piano set repeated a few times...
