Best half time show of all time!!!!!
He rocked out with All Along the Watchtower -> The Best of You I was shocked he actually played it Then he just ripped it up with PR Loved seeing the rain all over and his hair actually a bit messy for once The Twinz were kinda out of tune or something it seemed He looked great

Safe performance. Nothing great, nothing lame. He held it together in the sucky weather like a professional should. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I thought the performance was alright... I didn't like how that guitar sounded... too much distortion... just too noisy I thought...

It was solid... as my daughter said, he appealed to her audience and or a more universal audience and he gave us SOLID guitar work... I am pleased!

However the rain did add an extra touch of emotion to the performance and an feeling of urgency and passion.
Also, Prince's hair and makeup remained flawless during the performance which brought a tear to my eye as well Woulda been nice if he debuted a hot new song though, but whatever! Im happy! If you will, so will I

Show was good ... the rain didnt seem to hamper much
wish they would have showed the marching band a bit more ( their dancing ) the twinz were distracting ... i didnt care for that much it was fun always a tad short and the cameras seem often lost Mach

THAT'S MY NIGGA!!
Seriously. Prince did not disappoint. I am so proud of him. The guitar work was phenomenal, though he sounded a little flat on the Purple Rain solo. I guess he was trying to play it a different way. He can use this performance to kick off another big year, just like he did with the Grammys and The RRHOF My only complaints: Too many covers (three). But done very well. No new songs, unless you count AATW, which could be a single. We should all feel damn lucky that Prince has stayed around this long for us to enjoy. I've been a fan for 26 years, it's been a great ride, and from the way he looked tonight, it'll probably go on for another 20.

i thought it was lame...
the twins need to go - i was kinda wishing to see one of them slip and fall... prince needs to stop playing lets go crazy... purple rain was nice - i enjoyed what the marching band put into that but that's it, they shouldn't have been there... the doves...WTF. didn't see much of the band... again, those fucking twins... did the stage need to be in the shape of his glyph? i didn't and still don't enjoy his all along the watchtower/best of you covers... no justice served @ all..

Prince did the damn thing tonight, even in the rain. I loved it. The twins didn't even bother me. And Prince played the hell outta that guitar. I'm proud of him. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

The Twinz boots reminded me of Vanity's in the Nasty girl video.
Prince rocked ofcourse! I loved how he played "Purple Rain" and it was raining all over. That looked phenomonal. Prince is the best enterainer of ALL time! I can't describe the excitement I feel when I see him play and hear his music.

The stage and pyro were great. The WatchTower part was the best with me. ...Guitar was overmodulated beyond normal for Prince. ...I loved the pyro lightning at the beginning.
Considering the rain - I was proud of him.

It was an AMAZING performance.
I loved the guitar work most of all. And doing all that in the rain was impressive. Lot's of great stagecraft and showmanship. And I'm glad there was no James Brown stuff. Now, of course I always have some complaints: 1. The do-rag 2. Taking off the do-rag. 3. Orange shirt with turquoise suit. 4. NO NEW SONGS 5. Singing other people's songs -- with a lame, unnecessarily guest, no less. 6. No classics worth playing from the 90s and beyond???? But overall, it was very kewl. He definitely didn't fuck it up. And if he didn't sell his soul to the devil to play like that, the devil should be quite jealous.

Its the Super Bowl. For a Prince performance it was...nice. For the Super Bowl, its what he had to do. But I do agree with ya. "Proud Mary"? WTF! Oh yeah...its the Super Bowl. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I can't beleive anyone would complain about that performance. I have seen P over 20 times and that still was one of the best performances I have ever seen. He killed it on the world stage. Best sounding and best superbowl performance eva.

I cried when he tossed aside the mic and had the crowd singing. I mean here he is in this arena with all these football fans and that crowd was getting into it! I just was so proud of Prince and thought regardless of what anyone thinks of Prince, if he can get a crowd filled with testosterone singing to Purple Rain, it just truly shows what a musical legend and genious Prince truly is. IMHO of course.

It was an amazing performance, I think.
He didn't seem as relaxed as usual. I'm sure he was somewhat tense. With the pouring rain, there's so much potential for things to go wrong--not to mention the added risk. I gotta hand it to Prince for having the guts to play in the rain and not just run a pre-recorded tape. That takes guts. Overall, I think Prince kicked ass under the circumstances. And as good as the performance was in the pouring rain, imagine how great it would have been in good weather. I just wish there was a bit more variey from his catalog. He played 3 songs from Purple Rain. Wish he had played some hits from other albums. I know there will be folks on the org who will complain about his performance, but SuperBowl performances are what they are. Go back and watch Paul McCartney's performance (yawn) from two years back or The Stones' from last year. I think you'll have a greater appreciation for Prince's set. Just one quesion though: is "The Best of U" not an original song? If not, who did it originally? "I Was FINE Back in the Day!"

LOVED IT! Was exactly what that kind of performance should be. Taught those who aren't fans that he is also a Rock star. A covers were a great way to teach the lesson.
It inspired my 65-year-old parents and brother and sister-in-law, who are all not Prince fans to plan a trip to Vegas. Yippee!!! http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista
