No, I don't think he cares to.

I don't think he does personally but I do believe he's got people on the payroll that do, to keep him abreast of what his fans and nonfans are thinking. Hell, he'd be a fool not to and Prince is nobody's fool!

I hope not-I wouldn't want him 2 know some of the things y'all say about him!

Prince is a computer user. He likes to spend time online. He likes to do this annomisly, for the most part. He doesn't have people on a payroll that just read websites for him, though he does get word.

However it is been established time and time again, that is does in fact read and interact.

As an artist, Prince shouldn't (and most of the time, probably doesn't) care what is said about him on fan sites. We are not that important. However, as a 'commercial musician', ears need to be kept to the ground to some extent, but mainly listening beyond the pretty small hardcore fanbase who will buy his music almost without question (and then tear it to shreds for the next two years!).

Any artist who cares more about fan opinion than making good new music that is true to them is dead in the water imo anyway.

That's why Prince can never please all the people all the time.

Maybe if he really pleased himself (as I suspect he last did in a big way on 'Rainbow Children'), we might well get another great record out of him.

But then again, if he listened to us, we'd have the whole Warner catalogue out again now in remastered, expanded editions plus a whole lot more!
