Only one man has all the qualifications:
-- is very short -- holds unconventional religious beliefs -- constantly fends off rumors that he's gay -- dated a series of hot babes over the years -- current wife is twenty years his junior -- had a significant role in the success of a movie starring Jack Nicholson -- made a lasting impression on an episode of Oprah -- had a major fallout with a big studio/label Tom Cruise

STONEY JACKSON!! Joaquin Phoenix played Johnny Cash in "Walk The Line" Surely Hollywood will someday make a big biography movie about Prince. Which actor could play him?

What about Fred Armisen,"Prince" of "The Prince Show"on SNL?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
hell yeah. Btw, the actor should know how to sing pretty well too, if D'angelo was smaller, more light skinned... he could play prince. But he's maybe a bad actor. I dunno. I would want one with a great voice, and ain't that many looking like prince that can both act and sing.

I WAS RAISED BY A BLACK STEP-FATHER & WAS RAISED TO NOT LOOK AT COLOR THE WRONG WAY, IT CAN LEAD TO BLINDNESS! that is wonderful but i dont think that is the point. if this is a biopic about the life of Prince why would you have a white person play Prince? that doesn't make any sense. rather than get into racial debate when its not necessary, I think the bigger issue is the story itself, which will require a great deal of cooperation from Prince and we all know how that's gonna go. When Omar Epps can play Springsteen in his biopic without nobody raising an eyerbow at it, then we can get Ryan Phillippe to play Prince and I won't say shit. I'll even buy a ticket. Keanu Reeves Adrian Brody Fairuza Balk Eminem how does who raised you have a thing to do with this topic anyway? don't be mad at me. i'm just saying. Prince is Black (no matter how much y'all wish he was racially ambiguous). It would make sense that somebody Black should play him if there was to be a film made about his life. Ain't like Hollywood is short on Black actors. If you're still mad, just think of the money they'll save on makeup costs.

News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

What about that guy that plays him on the SNL skit. You know the one....It's the one where Minnie Ripperton's daughter plays Beyonce? He would make a good Prince, but can he act in a full film. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"
