God doesn't just tells me how much he "LOVE's" me, God shows me how much he "LOVE's" me. Both telling and showing "LOVE" means to "LOVE". They go hand in hand. You can't have one with out the other. Something is spoken, then followed by an action. That is

I love the fact that there is no known Hollywood actor who could truly play Prince believably!!

Leaves Prince as original and unique as he is, was and always meant to be lol

I mean, who truly can capture his dance moves, sex appeal, singing style, look and all Prince's raw emotions on screen?? No one . . . .

biggrin I agree 100% biggrin

You're all missing the point!

In today's movie world, you don't need a *real* actor.

They would use CGI (computer graphic imagery).

Prince would be a computer-generated actor.

Like Smeagol in Lord of the Rings, or Shrek.

Hey...That's a great idea!! And they could hire me. Prince 3D!

Jamie Foxx played Ray Charles in "Ray"
Joaquin Phoenix played Johnny Cash in "Walk The Line"

Surely Hollywood will someday make a big biography movie about Prince.

Which actor could play him?

The actor best suited is still unknown.

True. He is 1/2 black 1/2 Italian. He's such a unique character, I can't think of anybody that could pull it off. If they've got the musical talent they don't have the look or vice versa.

That was a movie. Prince is black.

?????

Rolling Stone 1981

"I grew up on the borderline," Prince says after the show. "I had a bunch of white friends, and I had a bunch of black friends. I never grew up in any one particular culture." The son of a half-black father and an Italian mother who divorced when he was seven, Prince pretty much raised himself from the age of twelve, when he formed his first band. Oddly, he claims that the normalcy and remoteness of Minneapolis provided just artistic nourishment he needed.

For whatever reason. He was lying. Have you seen his parents and whole family? Regardless of what he said when he was young, he refers to himself as black now.

And it should also be noted that Rolling Stone didn't actually quote Prince on his parental background, they just state it. I always took this as a combination of poor research by RS and a less than truthful musician.

you're joking right? You forget, this is about Prince, therefore you need an actor that can come away looking sexy especially for the early day - bikini briefs/leg warmers, makeup, leather, lace, heels, etc.

There is no way Denzel can do that. Plus Denzel looks nothing like Prince.

Diana Ross looked nothing like Billie Holliday

And that movie sucked and was an insult to the legacy of Billie Holiday.

When Omar Epps can play Springsteen in his biopic without nobody raising an eyerbow at it, then we can get Ryan Phillippe to play Prince and I won't say shit. I'll even buy a ticket.

don't be mad at me. i'm just saying. Prince is Black (no matter how much y'all wish he was racially ambiguous). It would make sense that somebody Black should play him if there was to be a film made about his life. Ain't like Hollywood is short on Black actors. If you're still mad, just think of the money they'll save on makeup costs.

THIS lady is NOT fuckin Italian.

Prince's mother - Mattie Baker

We've been over this a million times. Prince's mother is BLACK..... His father is BLACK

Prince's father - John L. Nelson (1986)

Prince lied. Lied Lied Lied. As he ALWAYS did in interviews. It ain't no secret that Prince had the same colorstruck problems most black kids had when he was growing up. The difference was that Prince never grew out of it.
People's brains are stuck on that lady that played his mom in Purple Rain. That ain't his mother. HE AIN'T MIXED. He never was. Stop kidding yourselves. You know what I find hilarious about people on the org? People who soooo badly want Prince to be anything but Black and yet wanna call me racially biased because I refuse to allow y'all to bleach him into some white-ish ideal you created in your mind of what you think he ought to be. You wish that he wasn't Black but too damn bad. That's why you all dream of Johnny Depp and any other white actor you think of that would be acceptable in your minds to play him. He is Black. that is all. Nobody would ever think to name a Black actor to portray a real person who was White (no matter how tanned he was). That would absurd. But for me to pull your card on all of these damn white guys and say "no way" to that is ridiculous here.

Yeah, I wonder what Prince thinks of all his closet-dwelling-racist "fans"

Esai Morales

or maybe there are some people on this site community that could play the part hmmm

Yes, fine ass Esai Morales would make a great Prince. In "La Bamba" when he had a mustache and his hair was boufed up, he very much resembled Prince. When I bought "La Bamba" on DVD, I was listening to the cast commenting on the movie and when Esai was sitting on the motorcycle kissing that girl, it looked just like the scene in "Purple Rain" when Prince dropped off Apollonia the next morning after they had slept together. Even Esai himself was laughing watching himself and said "As you can see, Prince was very big back then". lol

Just give Esai the right make-up and "queen" him up, he would make a great Prince. Here he is looking slightly similar in "La Bamba" (of course he was playing a butch character LOL).....

AS a matter of fact, ALL OF US are mixed, even dark skinned black people are mixed, cuz the fact of it is, an ancestors did a whole lotta jungle-fevering in their day, whether by rape or by choice.
