In the original trailer, it looks like Prince is going to punch someone....anyone know who this is and if the outtake ever saw the light of day...what about the X-Rated stuff people talked about...

The fight between Prince & Jellybean Johnson was edit out. I think in the script, Jellybean won the fight by using a sleeperhold technique (yes, like in pro wrestling!).

THAT scene should have been restore on the Purple Rain DVD release!!!

I see why they didn't include that in the film. It was wayyyy too violent.

But I cannot understand why the hell they cut the barn scene. It was beautiful.

But anyway.. back to the "punch"-Jellybean kicks his ass and Prince gets thrown out of the warehouse after that. There is another scene in the trailer where Prince is running. That was right after he got tossed out by Bean.

i used to have it, but lost it on a reformat...the original manuscript was called something else though, dont remember...does anyone else remember?
