i think it's primarily her huge tits i mean, the rest of her looks kinda nice. look at her legs in the long boots, still fine and all. makes me think she's probably not as big as she looks cause her chest is just huge and makes it look that way. but where did she get them boobies if she had none in the above pic?? Chaka is big all over. Did you catch a shot of her rear? It's huge too.

Am I the only one who liked 3121 a lit more than the tribute? Damnit, that sh*t was dirty! Nasty guitar solo, too.
Perfect appearance, IMO.

Prince was GREAT!!! There is just NO ONE in the business like him. I missed his earlier performance with Chaka, but 3121 was WONDERFUL. Love me some Prince when he plays that guitar!

He came across alot happier in 2004 around the Musicology time.
Oooh I loved Prince and Chaka onstage together. Her voice sounds so cool and it is so sexy!

Perfect appearance, IMO. I'm with ya. I don't know what all these folks here were listening to, but i thought it was outstanding - way better than the album version - and a nice rebound from the American Idol debacle. Got me to wondering why his studio records don't capture that rawness of his live sound.

Perfect appearance, IMO. oh i agree with you! i loved the 3121 performance best. i think it's a classic performance by all means. people need to stop bitchin' and just appreciate what was played instead of what shoulda/coulda and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Right. I don't understand why people keep saying he should have sung Black Sweat. 3121 is cool. BS is lame by comparison...it would have been the same ole wack performance. I'm very critical of PRince but I thought this performance was beyond reproach. I really, really dug it. Compared to BS, 3121 has more interesting and mysterious lyrics and atmosphere. I really enjoyed the tribut to Chaka. In my opinion it was the best part of an awful show. He really was into his element and looked like he enjoyed himself. In fact, he looked a little star struck....He was on stage with his idols, Stevie, Chaka and people who he has admired, India and Yolanda. It seems to me that he has more fun playing as part of a band...It's almost as if he knows that he has to share the stage, so he gives his performance that extra umphf...Loved the little guitar fills and background vocals. I guess his choice of 3121 may have seemed odd to some but, maybe it was his way of not only cooling down the crowd, but also to get people hip to his new stuff and to get people ready for things to come.....One other thing, Damon Wayans was just AWFUL!!! Is it me ....the newer songs are starting to be a bit boring no energy no spice or edge...then you say ok Prince is the bomb live then he goes to BET of all places to perform his solo Finale he plays the weakest track to BET viewers
i've read he wasn't in to it but think about it he got into Chakas performance ...People Prince did this on purpose the whole show was rap hip hop based nolive musicans at all except during the tribute...think about it casting your pearls before the swine....

So NONE wants 2 comment about the other guitar solo in 3121??
Morris must've been playing a sampled guitar sound and was soloing during some of 3121. Just watch and listen. I got it DVRed, and it's very obvious, when PRINCE is strumming, U hear a pretty good solo. What's up? Any thoughts, people? G. "He's a musician's musician..."

It's not so bad 2 do that, but I think Prince should've carried the guitar solos by himself.

Yeah, I agree that Prince is a "musician's musician." He seems to love working with a group but not necessarily his own band very much like Sting, then also Flea, John F, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, etc.. It just seems that they just like to jam with other musicians. I've said this once before, but to me one of the GREATEST Prince performances was "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," during the tribute to George Harrison for the RocknRoll Hall of Fame. That was amazing, and George Harrison's son was awestruck.

i've read he wasn't in to it but think about it he got into Chakas performance ...People Prince did this on purpose the whole show was rap hip hop based nolive musicans at all except during the tribute...think about it casting your pearls before the swine.... People said he wasn't into the AI performance... and yet all I saw was smiles, grins, and an energetic performance. People read into performances what they want to read, they made their mind up Prince couldn't possibly be into performing on AI and ignored any evidence to the contrary. Same with the 3121 performance. It's not an uptempo song so obviously he's not going to be all grins and giggles, but he seemed into it to me - he even gave the rapper Will I Am a high-five at the end. No one is forcing him to do these performances or what songs to perform. He seems perfectly happy to me. I think it is a lot to do whether you like the track or not. If you don't, there's a tendency to say 'what the hell did he play that for?' and say he wasn't into it. If you like the track, you tend to see the opposite.

This is was great!!! Having Prince win an award was a shocker!! I had no idea that he was up for an award. I have this really funny feeling that this award was symbolic just because he was to perform; I hope not but oh well, he won!!
Also that performance with Stevie Wonder, Yolanda Adams, India Arie, and Chaka was great!! Two of the greatest musicians ever (Prince and Stevie) on the same stage!! Plus with three of the greatest female vocalist in the game!! That was classic. The final piece was pretty cool. I was hoping that he dropped "Fury" on the BET folks, but 3121 was cool. I like how we tossed the mic into the crowd and the brotha from the Black Eye Peas joined Prince and comapny on stage for a little rapping moment, great job Uncle P. “When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a Communist.” Brazilian bishop Dom Hélder Câmara

The Chaka lifetime award with Prince, Stevie, Indie, Yolanda,... Prince getting male artist award, making his speech, & Prince wrapping things up with a 3121 performance was the reason to watch this always overhyped show. That was cool to see all that happening at once on stage. The problem with the Bet awards is that they take up so much time letting people ramble on who win. Their should be a time limit to some of these speeches. They had some bad sound problems also. I wish P. Duddy mike stayed off. He sucks! When is all the hype on him is going to finally die down. He makes me sick. Why did they even bother to use a mike anyway. The music was enough to lip sync to.

cant believe people are complaining because he didn't play a single. thats such a sad attitude to have; he should play whatever he wants to play. i think its great he has the balls, and the belief in his own music, to play something that most people there would never have heard before, something that he just feels appropriate for the show (i thought it was perfect...it's hip hop-y enough to appeal to the bet crowd but weird enough to freak them out a little). and people walking out or not being 100% into it is hardly unexpected; if you go to a gig where a band/singer is playing new music that the crowd has never heard before, they are NEVER 100% totally into it (and they've paid to come and see the band/singer) because they don't know the song. and prince wasn't just playing a song most people didn't know, he wasn't even playing it to a prince audience. and he was playing it at the end of a very long show. lets put things in perspective here, okay?

Having said that, even if he did a song like Black Sweat, the crowd would have been lost in the sauce, like they seemed to be at the show. Now the Chaka Tribute was the bomb! You could see that Prince was into it. Now I hope he does the MTV Video Music Awards next
I watched the 3121 performance again before I went to bed and I got into it more. Reading the comments here also gave me a new perspective on it too. I have to say, will.i.am was great! he took the performance to another level and it was great to see prince and will work it out on stage. minds can be changed. prince did his thing. I agree it was great. I know other folks thought it sucked. I mean its BET. Damon Wayans was'nt that bad. I guess some folks just dont understand Black comedy sometimes. Damon Wayans is not a representative for black comedy at large. The Wayans brothers' brand of stand up comedy has almost always been very regressive and degrading. The only one who wasn't as much like that was Keenan. Shawn and Marlon had a lot of bafoonery on their show (tho it had a lot of funny moments). They also made fools of themselves when they hosted the MTV Awards a while back. They go too far sometimes. Some of the things they think are funny are very damaging to blacks image-wise. I mean look at Scary Movie, funny yes, but there were a lot of things that went too far. Then Damon did a movie called Marci X. Chris Rock said he turned that down because of how offensive it was. Not only that but, Damon wants to trademark the word "nigga" so he can use it as the name of his clothing line I knew when it was announced that Damon was going to do a terrible job, and I can see I was right I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09
