Michael DeLorenzo sings? I always thought he kinda resembles Prince at certain angles.

oh my fucking god!i thought i was the only one who notice that! eek if you ever see michael's old picture when he had an afro he does resemble a bit to prince's pre-dirty mind days
to me michael does have a lovely voice and he self-wrote his upcoming cd. wink

Tell me this, does Prince have a Lifetyme Achievement Award or anything from some of these award shows? I was just wondering. I see where some of these other artist get LA award but I don't remember Prince ever getting one. Let me know. Thanks.[/quote]

The NAACP Image Awards gave him some type of Lifetime Achievement Award the same year he was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. This was the first time I saw Tamar perform with him. This was the best television performance I've ever seen him in. He had Shelia & Morris Day, and some others. Way better than the Brit awards

Alright, let's start the predictions. Given that it's rare for him to perform the same songs on more than one TV appearance (of course there are exceptions, but usually when the shows are in different countries, like Fury), and his penchant for performing album tracks, I expect:

Love
The Word

I'd love to see him perform Love.. it's what i was hoping for on GMA actually... sad

He should have performed in 2004/5 with Musicology; he could have sang Call my name, Musicology or a few others. 3121 doesn't really fit BET's format. I like 3121 but Musicology was bigger and a lot better. JMO biggrin PEACE

Me too! It's really the only truly interesting song on the cd. I like all the songs, but the Dance is different and peaks my interest.

The commercial i have been seeing yesterday and today lists Prince as appearing and then has a few others as Performers, oh well we'll see what happens, he might just be giving an award to someone and thats it.

Oh boy neutral . I'm nervous about this performance. I feel the same way I did when he did the Grammys in 2004. This is the show where Prince HAS TO BRING IT. PERIOD. I'm looking at the pre-show right now and I'm thinking this is a very different crowd than the Grammys. I don't know. I hope he kills them and all of us with this. And I hope Tamar has a small part to play with the performance but I'm just going to watch and hope for the best.

When I first heard about P performing on BET, I had reservations about it. I have to say this, but I don't think a 48 year old pop star from th 80's that wears heels, relaxed hair and make-up will fair well with the BET crowd. I could be wrong and I actually hoep I'm wrong.

I remember how dry the crowd was when Gladys performed last year after being awarded the lifetime achievement award. The crowd was also dry as hell back in 2004 when the Isley Bros performed.

Trust me... U have NOTHING 2 worry about. The audience will go absolutely CRAZY when Prince steps out on that stage. There R plenty of grown folks there. As 4 the younger generations... there is simply no hope. Current Rap & R&B is a disgrace 2 all those who came before, broke the walls down, and built the foundation... Only 2 see it all torn down by these ignorant, non-singin', non-rappin', plasticized, souless fast food machines that R causing cancer of the heart. Oh shit. Did I go off 2 much?

Peace.
