I have to say this, but I don't think a 48 year old pop star from th 80's that wears heels, relaxed hair and make-up will fair well with the BET crowd. I could be wrong and I actually hoep I'm wrong. I remember how dry the crowd was when Gladys performed last year after being awarded the lifetime achievement award. The crowd was also dry as hell back in 2004 when the Isley Bros performed. Prince always! always! always! receives an enthusiastic welcome and tonight will be no different. With all do respect to Gladys (my mom loved midnight train to georgia) and the Isley bothers, their not Prince. Never dought the power of Mr. Nelson.

PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE break out the Bass, the synth, or the guitar (or all three, like the NAACP show)... Folks don't need 2 keep on thinking of U as just a singer...
