Given that it's rare for him to perform the same songs on more than one TV appearance (of course there are exceptions, but usually when the shows are in different countries, like Fury), and his penchant for performing album tracks, I expect:
Of those two:
Love The Word and, if he does a third: Partyman extended jam, bringing people on stage, confetti, windmills, etc. Question is will he start out with a Question or a Demand? Question: What is this new exaltation? Demand: Stop telling me what U want me 2 hear! Seems that for an award show Love is more likely to have impact. The Word would probably work better, first time, in a quieter place/time...like a talk show...or morning T.V. . [Edited 6/15/06 9:29am] I'm now in agreement with doeineffect - he could do 3121 live, which would effectively be double-promotion since people won't have to look up which album it's on. So, my updated guess: 3121 Love Partyman jam

Equal low points in his skill-set. well, you might prefer marvelling to prince's thespian skills in "graffiti bridge", but i'd just as soon stare at the 1999 album cover for an hour and a half, thanks. Fair enough - I take that back. The 1999 cover and the Gett Off cover are interesting little pieces - I guess I was thinking more of recent NPG Records releases, but I guess they're Sam rather than Prince.

i think he should do a tribute to BET's music programming and perform a medley of "head" and "irrestistable bitch".

Nah, since B.Sweat didn't make an impact on radio, I think the title track, 3121, would be very appropriate for the mostly R&B theme of the show, and/or maybe The Word. Here are some other predictions that would be pretty cool. I think Jay Z will probably pop up on stage abd perform with guess who?...but then again, seeing Nas and Jay Z (I know the ORG is cluessless to what this means in terms of impact since people hate rap so much on this site) take the stage together wouls really set the crowd off. Also, I think LL Cool J (who once had a beef) will perform with Jamie. These r just predictions....or maybe things that I think would be great higlights. Outcast will probably perform their new song, Might O.

i think this appearance will boost his sales enough that he'll be able to knock sonic youth's new album out of the envied #96 spot on the billboard album charts.

I, for one, do NOT want to hear BL&B. Nor do I really want to see Tamar up there on the stage wasting more time and creativity. She'll probably be there, though, and if there is a medley of some sort, one of the tracks from her new album might well be performed.
Best move would be to perform 3121; that should sound funky as ^$ live.

Here's what he should do:
One lone light, shining down on a purple piano. Prince, looking badass, goes into a stunning version of How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore. He also does some of Adore and ends with a stunning classical piano run. He goes from piano to bass guitar, and alone on stage thumps out a badass bass riff, sings Black Sweat, and ends with a ripping bass solo. Throwing his bass over his shoulder, he walks off, making the front row of the audience come in their pants. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Now Nas is on Jay's label ... whooptie do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

i think prince is going to do "wet dream cousin" dressed in one of his old 1988 polka dotted tour outfits, complete with a long, lustrous lovesexy wig. he will be accompanied by an orchestra, and wendy and lisa will come out in the middle of the performance with pom poms and do cheerleading routines while sly stone and james brown turn cartwheels back and forth across the stage. then larry will come out and they will do a santana medley, followed by "courtin' time" (with guest rap by jay z).
this is just my guess, so don't treat it like gossip.

Perhaps the hottest performance of the night, however, will take place when Prince hits the stage to cap off the night’s festivities. Saving the best for last, the legendary artist, producer and actor will make his BET Awards debut this year, blessing fans with what is sure to be an electrifying performance. While he may have changed monikers over the years, his live performances have consistently reminded music fans of why he is considered one of the best.
