Salute To All The Good Mothers And Fathers I was just sitting here on my patio with my 5 year old daughter and I thought about how wonderful and hard it is to be a parent. I was thinking about how many messed up parents who just don't give a rat's butt. Then I went positive and thought about all the great parents who through love and hard work turned out great kids. I want to just take the time to say to every parent who is raising there kids with morals and love in their little hearts, "My hat is off to you and thank you". No kidding on the thank you part. It's a pain in the ass to deal with spoiled bad ass little kids. Or even worse screwed up teenagers who think the world owes them something. This world is getting better, despite popular belief that it isn't. And it's because of all the decent parents who raise their kids right.
Side note: Any parent that fucks up a child through abuse or neglect should burn in hell!!!

Nature vs. nurture?
Why do some good parents wind up with really messed up children? Are all great children really the products of good mothers and fathers? If so, how much of that is related to heredity vs. gifted parenting? If you choose to be a parent, care and attention for your children is what is expected of you. No special salute, reward, or kudos for meeting your parental responsibilities. Similarly, when I hear or read about a horrible young person (think Columbine High School massacre), I don't automatically blame the parents for that behavior. Lastly, it's fair to say that life in general is hard - with or without children to care for. I'd like to salute all decent people, parents and nonparents alike, for trying harder to make the world a little nicer. "When they tell me 2 walk a straight line, I put on crooked shoes"

Thank U, Daddyman. I'll take that compliment
and run with it...the max's comments notwithstanding. Good parents are really underappreciated. We have both good and bad parents in my family, and it makes a diffence in the children. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
