News of Fury/Million Days video.... A friend of mine who works at Universal Records told me that the video for Fury was a test run and was pulled to get consumer reaction. Also, he said that the clips that many people think is "A Million Days" is really the original video for "Te Amo Corazon" thus the use of the beautiful latin girl(Liza something or another) and Prince decided to reshoot the video after talks/meeting with Selma Hayak and her friend that stars in the video. __________________________________________________

It was actually no brainer that the clips featuring Miss Panama could have been from the original Te Amo Corazon video.

The shots of Prince in the studio looked very similar to the pic released purportedly from the unreleased A Million Days video, which is why it was assumed the 'storyline' part of the original Fury video was re-used footage from that video. However, it is entirely possible that those shots were simply from some other unreleased video, if this is true then an unused original version of Te Amo Corazon.
Certainly, I seem to remember the reports of Prince hanging out with Lisa Hernandez (Miss Panama) in, ermmm, Panama, was about a year ago but well after the Musicology project was done with. Lisa seems to be the woman in the storyline video, and with the Latin-American vibe to Te Amo, that does all add up. It does seem stupid to preview a video in public to get a consumer reaction. For one thing, it would be far easier and more sensible to just get a few fans together for a private screening and get their responses directly, as happens with movies. For another, where are they getting the feedback from that made them re-cut the Fury video to just the performance part? They would have to be reading forums like this one to get any feedback, I don't think many others would bother commenting on it in any detail.

the one with the "te amo" clips is visually more interesting than the one without
plus, the clips do fit in with the "storyline" to "Fury"

Cool thanks for sharing. I wonder what will be the official video for Fury.

plus, the clips do fit in with the "storyline" to "Fury" I wouldn't agree with that - the storyline comes across more as a woman bored waiting at home for Prince rather than a woman scorned! Lots of shots of the woman rolling around in bed, then lots of shots of running (plus she seems to have packed a suitcase - if she's leaving him why does she go to his studio?) and where do the shots of the young girl fit in to the Fury lyrics? When she runs into his studio and he's already left it seems more like bad timing than being scorned! It's just plain bad edited, there's even a shot late on where the woman is seen back in bed. Ultimately the 2 halves of the video don't fit together.

This is the pic that was released back when Musicology was an ongoing project and was supposed to show a clip from the A Million Days video:
This shot is identical to a small shot in the 'storyline' fury video, same clothes, mic, etc. I think this proves that those shots at least were from A Million Days. It couldn't have been from Te Amo unless Prince had written it and was recording a video for it from over a year and a half ago, which would make no sense when people were expecting another single from Musicology. Plus, he wasn't on Universal at that time and there's no reason Universal people would know anything about material shot before they were involved with Prince. It could be that the 'storyline' video is a combination of shots culled from A Million Days and an early version of Te Amo. But those particular shots in the studio were definately around the time of the unreleased A Million Days.

I think the Prince shots may be from the A Million Days video and possibly the Liza Hernandez clips may be from the Te Amo Corazon 1st version video.

Lisa has nothing to do with Te Amo. That was a sole Salma project. The clip scene is from the unrealeased Million Days video.
Besides, I don't think Prince is that obvious with his squeeze.

Wow, so Ms. Liza Lena is his lady now.

Besides, I don't think Prince is that obvious with his squeeze. Yes, the released Te Amo video was directed by Salma Hayek. What Joy In Repetition has brought up is the possibility of an unreleased Te Amo video that was shot previously. As I've said, it seems to me that Prince hooked up with Lisa Hernandez well after the unreleased A Million Days video, so how could she be in the video, and yet some shots are clearly from that video. It could of course be that Prince met and used Hernandez in the A Million Days video well before his much reported trip to Panama where news of their association leaked out. As for your second comment, I don't understand what you mean? What's his 'squeeze' got to do with it?

Why is it stupid..if he is trying 2 gain sum sort of fan reaction and feedback he is doing precisely what most of u so called fans want but u guys can never ever be pleased at what he does. Luminous beings are we...not this crude matter.

It's 'stupid' because the way they have withdrawn that version of the video suggests they made a big error, an error which has been aired in public. I can't think of another video which has been aired simply 'to get public reaction'. It makes Universal and Prince come across as undecisive.
