Watch I wanna be your lover video (Seldom seen alternate version with band) This is kind of sick. Prince is shirtless, with blue shorts and blue leg warmers and silver boots. What's really sick, is when he grabs Andre, turns him around and sings I wanna be your brother to him. I see why this is never shown.

did anyone notice the "cloud guitar" the bass player's using?

okay i am laughing at that. i never saw that before.
dude's left leg warmer was falling down. i think Prince chose the other version because he didn't want anyone in the band to get any face time. he was a cute lil young thang though.

potroastpony, you rule! Now I never knew that even existed. P was a mess back then (lol). It's tame now, but back then this video would be considered shocking. Bobby Z looks like he's trying out for the Village People. Dez looks cool as hell with guitar pick earring and the Marshall cabs behind him. Total punk rock. Gayle was kinda cute.
Makes me wonder how many "old school" vids P has in the vault.

Oh, 2 more things. The guitar switch by Dez was cool. And P should have worn a damn jock strap.

Type "Prince Dirty Mind" into the search engine and it will bring up live early '80's performances of Dirty Mind, Jack U Off and Head.

Thanx, never knew tere were 2 versions.
It's always easy 2 laugh about past pictures or vid's by any artist, but in P's case...well,sometimes it's very easy 2 do that about his early years.I always thought he over-acted a lot in his first vid's. Love4oneanother

Thanx! That was very special... seeing Prince performing in that Dirty Mind "clothing" .... also there's a live version of "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad" from the same era on YouTube with a heavy rock ending and before the ending Prince shouts: "Why U wanna treat me so bad... .BITCH!"

ROTF! I'm watching it over and over cuz it's killin' me. The guitar thing Dez did is the only cool thing in the whole video. Prince looks like some crazed escapee from planet X or something in those moon boots! Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

That's excellent, notice at about the 5 minute mark he does what sounds like a "let's go crazy" guitar climax - very cool to see the origins. Any1 know what particular Dirty mind concert this was (date, location etc)? Like PurpleCharm said, great to see him so raw and hungry. (And I always wondered what the unreleased song Broken sounded like...) . [Edited 5/16/06 1:53am]
