So is Musicology sheet music being published??? |

Yep, here's the April 2006 catalog saying so:

 Yup, there are a bunch of them. I have quite a few of them, from "Purple Rain" to "The Gold Experience". Want to try to find the others that I don't have as well.  RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |

yea,i dont think the older albums exist in print. i had been tracking the release of musicology through hal leonard..interestingly they had it listed as a march release for like the last 18 months i contacted them at the end of march because it still wasnt available and they said it is on an "undetermined backlog" and they would notify me with the new publish date when it is determined.
i still dont see it when i search their site. | |

I started buying Prince sheet music in 1984 (up until 1990 anyway) no songbooks exist for albums prior to Purple Rain however, you can find sheet music for "I Wanna Be Your Lover," "I Feel 4 U" (thanks to Chaka), "1999," "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore" (thanks to Alicia), and maybe a couple others I forgot about (pre-1984). There's also sheet music for songs like "Sugar Walls" (Sheena), "Nothing Compares 2 U" (Sinead), and several other Prince songs released by other artists. The Purple Rain songbook also includes "God (short instrumental)" and "Father's Song" ...and there was a full-score transcription songbook as well -- pretty cool if you can find it. search the net...most are out of print and have to be bought on the secondary market...a few exist still in print on the regular market. | |
