Another fantastic interview from Alan Leeds. It really gives an insight into how Prince operates - and how much material is stored up!

Though I thought it was odd that Alan was talking about emails flipping back and forth back in '87 - although the internet was around then, it really didn't get user-friendly until much later...

I always envisioned Prince putting out a lengthy Cd of Bitches Brew-like jams.

The story of their relationship is very revealing of both of them and particularly Prince. The most interesting thing is that Prince is unwilling to direct people he admires, but paradoxically want them to fit within his own parameters. It's the case of an extreme control freak being even less able to relax due to his great respect for his famous collaborator.

Has anyone heard about the anecdote where Prince goes to visit Miles at his home and P is greeted at the door by a completely naked Davis?

And a side note - Does anybody know if there is any recorded material of Prince's dad's jazz career?

I remember reading that Prince provided a poem that was read at MD's funeral. Any truth to this and does anyone have it?

Prince is a liar.
He never recorded with MIles Davis in the studio.

we used to get charged by the minute

I'm sorry, but I refuse to believe that Prince didn't know anything about jazz before Wendy & Lisa. I'm not saying he knew everything, but he had to know something. His dad was a jazz musician, for shit sakes, he had to at least know something.
