Andre not turning down the song is the same as Prince not turning down performing with Beyonce at the Grammys, which you see nothing wrong with even though Prince continuously bitches about the current state of music.

Prince had just finished "Purple Rain", his name was hot, and the song got Andre more exposure than he had with his first two albums.




He sure did have his chance with Jody Watley and was extremely successful with it. Her first album was getting much more airplay and was on much more people's lips than Prince's "Sign O The Times" (album and movie) which was out during that time. If I remember correctly, I think there were about 15 people in the movie theater when the film premiered.

Well, the song frantic moment is all over limewire you have to search just the title of the song. If you put the artist name in (Ediie Hazel) it won't come up. I got the whole thing and I just don't hear it.

Just had a listen to the snippet of FM, and indeed i have to say that there are striking similarities as far as the progression the chords is concerned. The whole feel of the song is much different though. Both songs do use the /FMaj7 /Em7 Am7 progression (to mu ears at least), but i have to admit that this is a very standard progression of chords in any case..

I do think that P may have been influenced by FM, but he reworked it into a song which does have it's own feel and identity.
