I'm just HAPPY with whatever PRINCE creates and releases.

Who am I to judge, demand or expect from an artist. It's HIS craft not mine. I'm along for the fUNKY and ROCK and ROLL RideDevine! wink

Long Live PRINCE and the Revolutionary NPG!

p.s. yes, "Fury" does RAWK!

When P is rockin' the joint with some RnB flava that is when everything is hot. It’s when he flips is when he struggles. I don't care what anybody says...he is human and he likes winning. He likes the two Grammy’s he won last year and he likes being nominated for different things. If he didn't he wouldn't have a trophy case and all of the plaques hanging in Paisley Park. I know LoveSexy was a great album but it flopped and so did the other crazy stuff but when he came back we / everyone supported the brotha and nobody can touch him when he's pumpin out "Blacksweat", "Call My Name" and other joints like that. You are entitled to your opinion and I will never knock that because there are a lot of joints I like and people look at me crazy. So....P just stick with what your doin' right now. cool

How in the hell are you gonna ask an artist who got his start and made his mark in R&B to STAY AWAY from R&B? wacky

I think he was just kidding around. Obviously, Prince is R&B to the bone. But the genre has recently been hijacked by rappers. Its difficult to get a standard R&B song on radio nowadays. Hip-hop monopolizes everything. I had to listen to Tom Joyner to hear John Legend, Jill Scott, Floetry and Eryka Badu. The other stations seldom touch the stuff. That being said, Prince may get more airtime with a rock song than R&B. But I love anything he decides to do...

Good point but it is sad that I have to listen to the "American Idol" winners all day on the radio at work but I can't get the new MJB, Chris Brown, Eryka or even Common. I live in Minnesota and when I called about "Call my name" they were all confused and offered to play Raseberry Beret or something. I'm cool to pump P however but dang whatz up with the radio. Ashley and Jessica Simpson, Clay Akin, Kelly whoever she is are not the only people making records. I still haven't heard any of Stevie Wonders joints on the radio. P don't flip....

Have a good night y'all. PRIME

It's a crime that P and many other R&B acts can't get regular play on the radio. Where Prince is concerned, we need to e-mail Universal and get them to push the radio stations to play Black Sweat. We need to do all we can do to get this song on the radio.

Cuz - I called all of them...Don't get me wrong some said "cool" but I had to wait 12 hours to hear it. It just sad that there is so much great music out there and they only play a few. Trust me is no talent Britney dropped an album today it will be every where (atleast for a minute).

f'real? KMOJ played the fuck outta "call my name" when it first came out, they're usually the only station in town who are good with playing his stuff.

yep, i feel ya. stations like B-96 and k-dweeb (KDWB) really could care less about the guy since he really don't fit in their format. perhaps if he were still like 20 years old and singing some "shake dat ass"-kinna nonsense, then they'd give 'im the time of day and be on his 'sac.

What i mean is Prince is the greatst musician on the planet but he doesn't a quater of the credit he deserves, because instead of pulling out his telecaster and amazing us all... he uses computerised effects and noises to create RnB. U all bable on about how todays chart isn't "Real" music... well neither is 70% of Prince's recent output!!

The reason i want Prince to stay away from RnB is so that he gets the recognition he deserves... u know, up there with "Santana" "Page" & "Clapton" instead of down there with "Kylie Minougue" "Duran Duran" and "Robiie Williams"... he is currently somewhere between the two groups, and THAT is a shame!

But with more songs like "Fury" "Let's Go Crazy" "A Million Days" "Purple Rain" "Bambi" & "The Everlasting Now" Prince could become king...

Enough of the...

And more of the...

Playing a guitar doesnt = great musician. Infact he showcases his great musicianship mostly in songs that arent typical 'rock'. ?
He is nowhere near Robbie Williams or Duran Duran - is that how you see him?
