After watching the news today only one reporter mentioned prince at all, james ***t got most of the headlines Well all the news slots that I have watched have raved about Prince. They said that it was a great Brits as it was live (as opposed to manufactured groups) and that Prince was by far the highlight of the show. Apart from Paul Weller closing the show he had the longest spot on the ceremony and I herad it last noght and saw some of the video earlier today....I too hope that they don't cut it short and hopefully because of all the positive feedback from the critics they'll show it all!!!! |

I have to say that having Wendy, Lisa & Sheila E. on stage, along with Tamar and the trio, and Mr. Hayes makes me think there's something very significant about this album and tour. One thought is that there have been so many reports about his health, and bones, etc., that it makes me think maybe it's his last. It also makes me think that he just wants to surprise the heck out of the people, cuz he feels confident about the new music. And there really is no telling how the new album will sound, given the wide range of the songs we've heard so far.
Reports of his health? You mean MPLS gossip columnists? Prince is gonna be like the Rolling Stones( but better) he's gonna tour 'til he dies. Prince often digs up old band members to play along-just 2 years ago he was with Wendy on Tavis. During one of the celebrations, Fink, Brownmark, and Bobby were brought on stage to jam. Sheila--she's been around again for a few years now. I just think Prince just wants to surprise us. "New Power slide...." |
