Black Sweat.
Everyone wants to define the music as being like his output in 80's or say its like another song. This is Prince music circa 2006 era..in the now. Just Enjoy it!!

All of these people here supporting Te Amo Corazon, where were y'all in December when it was getting a reaming from most of the org? I like Te Amo.. but I'm just wondering, I'm hearing more support from it now than I did 2 months ago. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Black Sweat naturally. Te amo Corazon is nice, but boring. "Bring friends, bring your children and bring foot spray 'cause it's gon' be funky." ~ Prince
A kiss on the lips, is betta than a knife in the back ~ Sheila E Darkness isn't the absence of light, it's the absence of U ~ Prince

"Black Sweat", although I'm likely in the minority when I say that I think both are decent. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Love them both but in a battle of beats vs. ballad
my choice is Black Sweat. HOWEVER, the song he did on SNL tonight is the best so far! I can't wait for 3121!! If you will, so will I

Black Sweat. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

I like them both too... however I didn't expect a black sweat kinda song after TAC. But in the end: black sweat is my favourite.

I like them both for different reasons. And this is the main reason I'm a Prince fan. He covers a variety of genres. And I like a variety of music. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll play it first and tell you what it is later. -Miles Davis-

Black Sweat is a funky, simple song! The extended versions will have the club full with young and old -- 35 plus fans and the new fans who only heard of Prince. I think Black Sweat is destined to be one of those songs that may not burn up the charts today, but as time passes - when we are 45 (smile), we will be saying: "Yes, that was a funky song."
Te Amo Corazon: I always enjoyed that song. I thought it showed range and talent. I hate to see that it didn't get much airplay in the States, but Prince is primarily a cult artist now, so I enjoy Prince because I am amazed at his dedication to his craft and ability to pump out good music (even his worse music is good music to me) for over 25 years.

I saw someone else do this on the org and I digged it, so I will explain my feelings done this way on this topic.
On a 4 smile scale Te amo Corazon= I like it but it isn't one of my favorites. I think it is kind of borring at times. Good elevator music I suppose, but not something I would ever probably listen to for pleasure. Sorry. Black Sweat=I have not heard it yet... I have a mac and can't figure out where to hear it. Anyone know? [Edited 2/5/06 12:21pm] [Edited 2/5/06 12:21pm]

I'm happy to say that I love "Te Amo Corazon" and "Black Sweat" and "Fury." Prince is rocking my world right now.
Come on March 21!!! Peace, David

I love Black Sweat. Love it! I also really like Fury. TAC s, well...I bought the single, but it's such elevator music really. I'm glad 3121 will be more like Black Sweat than TAC.

I don't really compare jams to ballads in the "which is better" sense because they're very different songwriting forms. It's kinda apples and oranges thing you know? I don't find much of a basis for comparison. In this case the only commonality seems to be that they are both new.

Black Sweat, by far. But neither of these songs is a gem, not at all.
I grew tired of both of them very quickly, but at least BS didn't make me cringe.
