"Notorious" by Duran Duran.

On their 1993 tour, they even snuck "Sexy MF" into the middle of it!

Don't forget Skin Trade!

Well, pretty much the entire Notorious album has that feel. Word was, the boys were heavily inspired after seeing Prince on the Parade tour!

I'm surprised no one posted the Ween masterpiece, "L.M.L.Y.P (Let Me Lick Your Pussy)" It sounds like a prince outtake from '84-'86, yet it stands on it's own musically. It's just so wrong that it's right. nod

Well it sounds like something Prince would write, because he did. This is for the most part a cover of Prince's B-side single of If I was Your Girl friend called Shockadelica. They added their own stuff to it, but it's for the most part Shockadelica.

'Physical' by Olivia Newton John. I'm not joking either. It's very Vanity-esque...

I'm saying all the things that I know you'll like
Making good conversation.
I gotta handle you just right
you know what I mean.

I took you to an intimate restaurant
Then to a suggestive movie.
There's nothing left to talk about less it's horizontally.

Let's get physical
physical -
I wanna get physical
let's get into physical

Let me hear your body talk
your body talk
Let me hear your body talk.

Let's get physical
physical - . . .

I've been patient
I've been good
Trying to keep my hands on the table.
It's getting hard this holding back - you know what I mean.

I'm sure you'll understand my point of view

We know each other mentally.
You've gotta know that you're bringing out the animal in me.

Let's get physical
physical - . . .
Let's get physical
physical - . . .
Let's get physical
physical - . . .

Let's get animal
animal -
I wanna get animal
let's get into animal

Let me hear your body talk

Let me hear your body talk.
Let me hear your body talk
your body talk -
Let me hear your body talk.

Off of the top of my head, I'd pick a song called "Infatuation" by Laurnea. Has anyone else heard it? It came out in the late 90's and it is more than a little reminiscent of a classic Prince ballad. I remember wondering if Prince had anything to do with it or if he sang background. It's a great song and pretty dead on.

What's your pick?

eek eek eek

This was going to be my recommendation!!!! lol

It seems that there was a message "Lenny, u didnt even change the key" or something like that at the NPGMC site...

Sounds suspect

I am a big fan of Jamiroquai, but i do think they are a bit of a one-trick pony. They could never have the range of stuff prince has come up with

Talking off Macy Gray, does anyone remember when there was a special event for Janet Jackson, to recognise her 'talent' and 'accomplishments' (Of which she owes all to Jam and Lewis). Macy Gray sang one of her songs, i think it was 'love will never do' with a highly disguised prince on guitar. That version had the prince arrangement all over it and subsequently outdid the original on every count. I think Jam and Lewis who were sitting in the audience next to Janet were green with envy.

Her brother Daniel Bedingfield said in Q magazine that he was a big Prince fan. Him and Natasha were allegedly going to do a duet of a Prince song at the Brit awards this year.

News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
