June 12, 1996 - Dinner With Delores / Right The Wrong 7" released.

A gentle fun song, unlike any other Prince single until that point. Not groundbreaking by any means, but a nice song.

Right The Wrong - a different side of Prince. A nice gimmicky song, worth hearing just to hear something he'd never done before.

What else on Chaos And Disorder would have made a good single choice?

... Zannalee, for instance? ... Or why not the Chaos And Disorder itself?. I still wonder why everybody claims this album's one of the worst. I always loved it. Actually, this is the album I always wanted him to create: a straight rock n´roll album. It don't need to be a masterpiece to rock, it's cool as simple as it is. I like it there!

I like It There.It's okay album,but a little uninspired

...That's it, JAMIESTARR -It's an okay album. Don't agree with the "uninspired" part, but it's alright anyway. I think is very ... energetic, isn't it?. Of course Prince won't be in History books for this album, but he won't be there for "One Night Alone" either. And that's another lovely little album, btw.

I always thought Zannalee and The Same December would have been great singles - of course, I'd been looking forward to having them on CD since I saw the videos on the European tour in 1995.

I also think C&D and I Like It There could have been good single choices. Unfortunately he'd gone off rock singles by this stage, going for more gentle tracks. Wonder if he chose Dinner With Delores, or if it was WB? He had played Zannalee a lot in the previous year - I think he really liked that song.

Did people complain about the length of C&D when it was released?

I remember reviewers using the length as evidence that this was a throwaway contractual obligation by Prince, but we all knew that Emancipation was on it's way (another 3CDs within the year. Hmmm, sounds familiar...).

It was a throwaway to oblige WB that's what is wrong!!!

It was full of agression and venom- that's part of what makes it a good record.

... Even though I wouldn't change a thing on his latest band, I kninda miss every once in a while the old 1993-96 NPG. This album was just another glimpse of their vast versatility. I just love the power of the Michael B-Sonny T-Prince trio ... It sounds so powerful...

It wasn't a bad album, maybe some cleaning up. Like "I Rock, therefore I am' would have really rocked if he pulled out the rappers.
I really love Dinner with Delores, has he ever done it live?

Sorry, I should've worried when I put C&D on and loved it at the 1st listen. After the 5th time I put in on my shelf and there it's sat. I think I've played it once in the last 4 years.

Altho, with all these comments on it, maybe I'll try it one last time.
