Bob Seger.
According to DMSR Bob Seger was in every town Prince toured either before or after him and he couldn't understand his success. And one of the members said Prince would make a fortune if he wrote a song like Bob Seger. The book descibes it better, I'm quoting off the top of my head. The phrase purple rain was first used in "Ventura Highway" and Stevie had a song called "Purple Raindrops" in the sixties. | |
