Just a little blurb of what happened right after the Oscars:

Beyonce enveloped the diminutive Prince in a hug and whispered, 'Are you having a party tonight?

'Yes,' the singer murmured.

'I hope we can come,' she replied."

At 46, our man P can still throw a party 2 attract the best of them.

Lucky Beyonce, getting to hang with Prince at the Oscars, hugging him, and then being able to attend his party. She's a lucky lady.

what, the reporter/reporter's "source" was all hugged-up with 'em?

well Beyonce was a factor (not THE biggest factor, of course) in helping Prince regain his throne this past year...he has always said he admires her talent..if somebody says Paris Hilton was at this party too, somebody's getting stabbed in the neck!

I'm thinking Prince has alot of clout. He arrives at the Oscars wearing black and white, and presents the award wearing Purple and cream. They had to arrange for him to change. What a big star he is!!!. The winner of the Oscar bent down on one knee and kissed Prince's hand. What an awesome moment

Oooh, nice pictures, minus that damn AFP insignia on one of them that covers up part of Prince's beautiful face. Why do they have to put it there, of all places?! I like the black and white outfit even better than the white and blue one that he wore when he was presenting on the Oscars.

How did she help Prince? Performing with Prince at the Grammies didnt help Prince. Until she is a music legend like Prince, there is not much she could do to "help" Prince - assuming that Prince needed help with anything.

up to one minute just prior to their Grammy performance, 95% of the people who cared that Prince was opening the show log on to Prince.org. Of course it was his body of music that won the crowd over and it is his body of music that has allowed him to have one his best damn years ever. What Beyonce did was bridge the gap between older music fans and newer,younger fans, much like Chris Rock as being host last night. She was the perfect muse to him that night and it made him a lot more "hip" to younger people

hey people, that guy who won the oscar is from uruguay, the same country i was born and i live there 4 23 years b4 moving 2 america, and i was lauging my a$$ off when that happend, coz i know who that guy is and everybody that knows me back in me birth contry knows i'm all about prince, so i guess @ that moment all those people were smiling 4 me....

I mean Prince is bored with these songs, but knows people wants to hear them, so he obliges. The way Beyonce belts out "It's such a shame our friendship had to end" and other lines on Purple Rain made the rendition the most powerful i've ever heard. Sincerly, Prince doesn't give a good emotional reading of these very sensitive lines in PR. Whenever I listen the the album version of Purple Rain (the song) I always wish the vocal delivery was not so monotonous.

Also, the way Beyonce was dancing around him and screaming during his end guitar solo -- she recalled the charisma of Vanity, Mayte, and Apples altogether. Prince clearly responded to that and was in a great vibe with her.


P.S. ... I hope the hobnobbing is giving Prince the energy to create some kick-ass music. He needs some stimuli as all geniuses do. Their spirits have to be rekindled and I hope being around other artists whether in film, music, .whatever inspires him into another ether.
