" PRINCELY PARTIER

THE very last party on Oscar night — where Prince performed with a full band in his own living room until the crack of dawn — was described by one guest as "very select, very intimate and hands-down the best."

It wasn't hard to locate the fuchsia-loving funkster's villa high up on Mulholland Drive since his distinctive symbol adorns the iron gates.

But only the 50 celebs whose names were on the list could get past the security guards.

Inside, Jeff Gordon was accepting congratulations for his victory in last week's Daytona 500 while flirting with a stunning model named Ingrid.

Christina Aguilera and her fiancé, music marketing guru Jordan Bratman, told New York club owner Unik they want to celebrate their engagement at his Gansevoort Street lounge, P.M. "

Is this villa rented or property ?

Anyway ... the days of the independent showbiz rebel with alleged financial bottle necks seem to be gone.

He rents it from me.
I am the landlord.
He pays me with music, which he refers to as "the masters of unreleased records, the best work I have made to date."
He also knits me green string vests for my family, my friends and myself.
They are snug.
I am happy.

Remember the days when he would do this party thing at Paisley Park? We would get to hear snipets of new material...and just chill...and have a really good time? Has he forgotten us? Those that have stood by him all these years when the rest of the world (Hollywood) was writting him off as a has-been?

Oh well... neutral

Who knows Prince's address on Mulholland Drive? Was it on Paris Hilton's Sidekick? I live in Los Angeles, and I'm driving by the next time he throws a party. And if I can't get in, I'll just sit on the side of the road and listen as though he was performing on the radio... smile

i so feel that too.. but not hating that they get to party too, but he has got to miss the realness of his regular fans rather than the hollywood fakeness but maybe the selectivness means not all the fake one are at his parties.... i have been quite sad with being just left in minnesota.. no parties nothing whilst he just do it up in the hills there. Mani gets to just mingle with the big stars....i remember we use to call paisley and ask 'is there a party tonight?" god i miss those good ol days.. we sure did have a ball for many years....all good things come to end i suppose.. maybe he will get bored someday and come back home home.

Take a stab at '3121', see if that was the 'secret code'.

Well...U're assuming the stars aren't "freaky fans" as well! biggrin
But your point is understood...I guess I was commenting on the parties in general more than the specifics of where they were being held.

I have to admit, I've thought the same thing. I am really happy for Prince but at the same time, it is a little bittersweet for those of us that have enjoyed so much of his attention the past five years or so. It's silly, but I feel a twinge of jealousy!

BUT, I am hopeful and almost certain that he knows what's what. He must recognize those of us who've supported him unconditionally.

True, true and they shouldn't be there if they're not! But, I doubt they'll show up lookin' like Sir Jac, either. lol

I also wish he'd do something for us little folk, tired of this Hollywood crap.

what, we're supposed to tag along and hob-nob with 'im just because we're us and because he's him? god, this kinna stuff sounds almost like kid's stuff: "he ain't lettin me into his clubhouse although i give 'im my cookies all the time! no fair!"

let 'im have some fun alone for once, he ain't goin nowhere, and you'll live just fine without a princely soiree in your agenda. it's probably a good thing that he ain't inviting fans over cuz somebody would end up doin something stupid, like them cats who stole stuff outta the refrigerator at paisley park a couple celebrations ago.
