Coudln't the date refer to when it was last touched? Even tho it's called a "demo" P is notorious for tinkering with recordings. Couldn't he have taken a Slaughterhouse-era song, added, say, real drums and some guitar and called it a 2004 recording? "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

yes! that very well could be the case! Vocal sound and layering are JUST LIKE slaughterhouse and sex me, sex me not...the drums? a toss up... the guitar solo? if anything was added it was this solo, sounds almost out of place on this song as if it was added at a much later date. It is a rippin solo though! Love it.
