I never took the line "Everybody Make Love" to mean physical, sexual love but Love 4 One Another----Stop fighting each other and try loving one another. I think it's great that he's ALWAYS stood up and called for people of all races and religions to love one another. I guess I just like this song.

I don't think you have to be a member. Though it's 77 cents for members and 99 cents for non. for 77 cents it's good. best 77 cent I EVER spent was downloading the live controversy that's on there. Now THAT's freekin pumpin.

members just get benefits like presales and the cyberclip room is open...so free videos. And we get discounts on the music.

and no the whole song is not like that.

It sounds much better when you hear the entire song. And are you saying you can't afford .99 cents? Members get the tune for .77 cents, non-members can download it for .99.

It's definitely worth a dollar.

But that was before Prince was a JW. Now he must follow the biblical teachings which reguire that only when trying to conceive children should people have sex. Unless there's a way for him to leave the Bilble out of this it doesn't really seem to fit in with the JW teachings. Does this lovemaking he's singning about include only married heterosexuals or is he including gay lovers, and any age boyfriends/girlfriends here as well? confuse

Wrong again. JW dont believe sex is only to concieve. if a copule is married they can use birth control its all up to them. I swear where do you people get that crap from?

Do JW's really endorse birth control? Doesn't scientific data reveal that birth control pills destroy fertilized eggs? What does the Watchtower say about destroying potential life? I guess that I got this 'crap' from the Bible since it says that all life is sacred!

I'm sorry, but it is the Truth. You do not have to believe me. The Truth stands on it's own. Before he died, my husband knew full well the lies that he had me believe. We made our peace. I may have suffered from his worldly activities, but he was the one who died.

When I first became attracted to Prince's magnificent music, hearing the "Truth" was a serious issue for me. That is why I am here because I am still seeking the "Truth." I bet that I could tell you many things about my life that you would not believe, and yet the truth remains the truth.

No you made that crap up on your own and if you know so much you would have known that JW don't believe sex between a married couple should only be done in an attempt to concieve. you got it twisted buddy. You must be thinking catholics who don't believe in birth control. You can't sit up here and tell me a married cople will only have sex when trying to make a baby? Or a JW couple with no children aren't having sex? Doesn't the Bible say to enjoy the wife of your youth? And for a couple to render each other teir due? And besides birth control is a personal issue. You ned to stop what ever witness grudge you have with you rhalf truths and lies. I jumped in to express my views with the intention of showing that all humans can fail. I didn't intend to single out any person, faith or creed, and I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

I love the Buddhist faith and meant nothing against AB.
I do not hate any religion or any people of the world.
People fail, not God/The Law/The Truth.
I apologize if my understanding of what I've read and heard is incorrect.
I question the lyrics in this song because of what I've heard Prince say about his Religion.

When I hear Prince say 'Make Love and Not War' I hear a familiar message from the 60's.
Peace, Love, Happiness & All THAT .
The message is clouded for me if indeed Prince is only talking about LoveForOneAnother.
He is saying 'Make Love" and that can be the kind of lovemaking that can result in unwanted babies being born.
Many females think initially that they're giving their "love" to someone.
Soon some of those will find themselves not 'in love' but alone when a baby appears.

So without any explanation of the Bible's truths which concern lovemaking (in light of Prince's current religion) that message is being put OUT THERE.
And it isn't just about go get your pleasure.....it's about the sacredness of the life it produces.
Sometimes it takes years for individuals to reach spiritual enlightenment and understanding.
Sex is a powerful force which can be easily misunderstood for true Love and Union.
The message "Make Love and Not War" is reaching people of all ages with different levels of understanding.

Some people can still turn their backs and walk away from the results of lovemaking.
If there's a solution to war, it may be lovemaking, but it has to be responsible lovemaking.
Because the solution to the 60's lovemaking, legalized abortion, isn't a solution.
Prince said he's known for years that Spirituality and Sex are linked.
I guess that's why "religion" is included in the discussion of the lyrics & opinions of this song.

I truely didn't mean to offend anyone. We are all in this together. It's about principles, not people and I didn't make it up.
.....

Sometimes the truth really is stranger than fiction.
I used to have a statue of Buddha that was given to me by a friend.
I put it in a garden, where the wild herbs grow.
It was a sacred place to visit in peace and prayer.
Then my ex took the statue and said it would no longer sit there.

Non taken, Basically any Religion can be considered a Cult
but the JW fits the definition to a tee Especially since they believe only 144,000 will prosper into the heavenly domain
(the ultimate irony is their are over six million jw's in the world)
Since Catholicism is the base for Religion anyway (or at least they think they are, i'd say Judaism)
They would be exempt from a cultist Point of view
the Main Problem with catholicism is that its a corrupt organisation, but im sure if you analyse any religion corruption could be found, by emphatically there is an excess amount in Catholicism.
JW's are Extremist From a theology point of view any Group that goes to extreme measures of worship is considered a cult.
The Fact that they are not doing any negative, is mandated by religious tolerance group

To be quite Honest Religious tolerance groups have the JW's on #1 in a cult list to go after and shut down
JW leadership claims its victims by asserting
itself to be the sole Christian religion and authority on the earth today,
as well as God's mouthpiece or prophet.
The Watchtower further disrupts families through its harsh and unbiblical interpretation of "disfellowshipping" and the practice of "shunning."
Family members who are former JWs are labeled by Watchtower adherents as "apostates" and prevented from even social contact.
Disfellowshipped or disassociated children, parents, and grandparents are kept from any type of communication with active members of the organisation.
Divorces are common within the sect when one member becomes disillusioned with Watchtower teaching and mind-control.
Not only has the name of this cult been changed time and again,
but they also change their doctrines regularly -- between 1917 and 1928,
they changed their doctrines 148 times!
(Prior to 1931, Jehovah's Witnesses had also gone by the names of Millennial Dawn,
People's Pulpit Association, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, and the International Bible Students Association.)
Russell died in 1916 and was replaced by the second president,
Joseph F. Rutherford. "A process of replacing Russell's writings with Rutherford's began in 1921 with the publication of Rutherford's Harp of God.
Between 1921 and 1941, Rutherford was to write twenty books and numerous pamphlets, which would slowly revise the doctrine and structure left him by Russell"
(Encyclopedia of American Religions, G. Melton, Vol. 1, p. 485). One of Rutherford's books that caused a great amount of controversy was the seventh volume of the Studies in the Scriptures.
Now do i have problem with P being a JW?
not at all, its his business i don't care as long as he makes great music
but my prior statement is indeed rectified
For a theologist JW is indeed a cult of the worst kind
using brainwashing as a key element
