Just As Long As We're Together

Is this song Prince at his best or what? I hadn't heard it in close to 20 years until tonight, and I can't stop dancing!

Great song.Ever notice how on every version he recorded ,he sings the first verse falsetto, and the second in his regular voice? I wonder why....

variation. it's more interesting musically to explore the melody an octave lower or higher verse to verse....in the case of higher, it can suggest perhaps urgency, in the case of lower it can suggest sincerity or less urgency...or anything similar you can think of.....think of it as the musician or singer using a different colour.

Love it -- wish he'd perform this live again. Aftershow would be cool.

I haven't heard this in ages! Now, because of this thread I want to hear it, but I don't think I have the CD!? I used to have the album. Perhaps I have it on cassette? I hope.... neutral

When I first heard it, way too giddy for me...but after a while, it's a wonderful song...sounds like a disco classic, that's how it grew on me.....
