No one mentioned the late, great Tupac Shakur...not only was he a big fan, but he also sampled the songs "Darling Nikki" (in the song "The Heartz of Men"), "Do Me, Baby" (To Live And Die In L.A."), "If I Was Your Girlfriend" ("Thugs Get Lonely"), "Pop Life" ("Pac's Life"), and "777-9311" ("Whatz Ya Phone #").

I imagine most musicians alive today have at the very least respect for Prince in regards to his music and role in the music scene over the last 25 years.

Robert Plant Robert Downey Jr. - in an interview a long time ago when he was discussing how much he loves music and would like to express himself in music he said he wanted to do something so radical it would "make Prince look like a stockbroker". That's DowneySpeak for admiration.

I can't believe nobody put Gwen Stefani. No Doubt was on his "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" album. Christina Aguilera is also a fan as is JC Chasez. JC's whole album sounds Prince inspired. SPREAD LOVE UNTIL THE SUN'S FINAL RISE--The Duality a.k.a. "WYNTER SKYE"

He actively promotes the Dirty Mind album at RSPB meetings! He is at every London Prince concert, always down the front or sides. Prince delivers the goodies! [This message was edited Sun Aug 1 16:38:22 2004 by SquirrelMeat] Well spotted squirrelmeat, but u may not know that Bill Oddie apparently has an ENORMOUS prince bootleg collection at his house, possibly the biggest in England, lol that's where I wanna spend my summer! He has 3 core interests in his life that he has expressed 2 the public: Birds, comedy and Prince Luminous beings are we...not this crude matter.

I am a big No Doubt fan myself and actually I saw a interview with the whole band where all of the members of No Doubt (Esp Tony Kanal the bass player) were talking about how they were all big P fans and were so honored to have him write and produce a track on the rock steady album called waiting room (kick ass song BTW, and its sooo P!) All five Backstreet Boys have said at one time or another that they loved P. Especially Kevin Richardson(the older black haired one with the bushy eyebrows) who is a hard core fan.
