Back in the day, I read that John Mellencamp stopped one of his concerts, put a boom box infront of his mic, told the audience that they had to hear this song, pushed play on the tape deck and played LRC.
What's the use of being young if you ain't gonna get old

Bill Oddie is a BIG fan. Possibly the biggest in "celeb" terms.

He actively promotes the Dirty Mind album at RSPB meetings! He is at every London Prince concert, always down the front or sides.

Prince delivers the goodies!

Well spotted squirrelmeat, but u may not know that Bill Oddie apparently has an ENORMOUS prince bootleg collection at his house, possibly the biggest in England, lol that's where I wanna spend my summer!

He has 3 core interests in his life that he has expressed 2 the public: Birds, comedy and Prince

Bill Oddie was also one of the lucky few to attend Prince's first UK concert at the Lyceum, London. It was attending this gig that turned him into one of Prince's earliest British fans.

"Vanessa Bartholomeu"

(Kirstie Alley)

Can't believe it took someone so long to point out Eddie Murphy

Oprah is a fan-she had him on her show at least.

John Mellencamp is a big fan-he's a country boy with the heart and soul made of funk-he wishes he was funkier, but he realizes who he is and where his gifts are.

I have heard Sting praise Prince for being a talented songwriter.

I heard Elvis Costello call prince an "Imposter" once in the mid 80s on the Johnny Carson show.

David Letterman seems to like him-but I don't think they click at all. David isn't a "poser who gets along with everyone" like Leno.

Paul Shaeffer probably wishes he could kiss Prince's boots.

Finally,

Jesus Christ loves him, and forgives him for being a JW.-no offense meant.

"Tricky", he said once on mtv he wanned to be like Prince.

"The Coen brothers", been a filmmaker myself i know the music taste of some directors, and they put the love symbol on the credits of the oscar winner "Fargo"

"Fito Paez", Argentinian superstar always talk about prince and he even dress like him in his "Mariposa tecnicolor "video and he has a cover of "Sign o the times" in spanish!!

"Pet shop boys", they still talk about him

"Illyakurriaky and the valderramas", the funkiest group in latinamerica, they record their cool "leche" album at paisley park with a little help of Bootsy Collins, they are in love with Prince.

"La Maldita Vecindad" One of Mexico great rock bands, they where produced by David C (Bobby C Bro) and even Sheila E play the drums with them.
